Ayu cosplay help (^_^)

Hey everyone! (not sure if this is the right place for this; if not, sorry!!)

Come this Halloween, I have an awesome idea to be really scary (by my standards anyway ) I'm going to be a mix of Ayu from the Marionette PV and the Kuchisake Onna, so Ayu's outfit & hair & everything, just with a fake slit-mouth and a mask I have the Kuchisake Onna part all taken care of, but I need help with the Ayu part. I have a budget of how much I can spend on this costume, so I can't really go all out with it. I have the shoes and the gloves (can get gloves for $5 at the mall) and the powder for my face (really pale=scarier ) but I still need white contacts, a nice blonde wig, and a white dress Does anyone know where I can get these (in the USA) for a total of less than $100? I need to start getting my costume together as soon as possible because it will take a while

If anyone can help, that would be awesome

I'm sure you can get all these idems, but most likely not for under one hundred dollars. The contacts themselves should probably be starting at 50, though I might be exaggerating a bit, I did see a pair just like ayumi's for that much. The wig could depend on where you got it, I estimate around 25, usually no more unless you want a high quality one (real hair vs. synthetic) and the dress I'm sure you can imitate when going into a dance store? leotards and such. Just some estimates, maybe rethink your price range a little.

^ Ah, that's true... I saw a site where the contacts were only $30, so I'm guessing that's the cheapest (^_^);;

I actually found a website that sells white contacts for $23!! At first I thought it was for individual lenses (that's how the rest of them were ) but then it said "pair" after it So that's one down, two to go

^Woah lucky! I guess you don't have bad eyesight, cause once I thought of getting a pair of blue contacts for cosplay, and I need them to correct my eyesight too, and they were like 60$ and up D:

Lol, I have terrible eyesight I wanted contacts with my perscription, but they were reeeeeally expensive, and I'm only going to wear them for one night, so I figure I can handle being nearly blind for a day XD Or maybe the Kuchisake Ayu could wear glasses over her contacts? XD

It'll be hard to find a dress that's just like Ayu's of course. Luckily, it's a plain dress, so most short, full-skirt, white dresses could work.
I recommend these (which can be ordered in white), which are all under $50.

BUT MOST OF ALL, check out this one. I think this is the closest you'll get to the original.

Here I know has excellent contacts http://mukuchu.blogspot.com/ even though you seem to have the contacts part covered, check it out, maybe they're cheaper, or you find something you like more

The dress sounds like it'd be the biggest problem; I'm no good at dresses and I don't usually buy clothes online so I really wouldn't know!

Good luck though! This sounds so freakin awesome!

D: I'm sorry! I figured modcloth would have something similar because it's vintage-styled. I'm guessing there's no way you can extend your budget just a smidge?

Do you have a DEB near you? I haven't seen her dress from the PV, but I've seen 100% copies of the dress from her Asia Tour live at DEB multiple times.

Can you tailor? There are many cosplayers who tailor their own costumes Or they find tailors and ask them to make the same exact outfit.

^ A lot of cosplayers I know do that. It might seem a bit cheap, but if you know how to manage material, you can turn a white sheet into her dress. You probably DONT even need to know how to sew. Just know where to make the folds etc. And the red sash in her performance (if you want that) for marionette is probably something you can get for less than 2$.

Gloves= white dollarama or wal mart for cheap.
