INFORMATION
きゃりーぱみゅぱみゅ (Kyary Pamyu Pamyu) is a Japanese fashion model and upcoming singer. She models for fashion magazines such as KERA and Zipper. She was born on the 29th of January of 1993 in Tokyo, Japan. Kyary is known to have a very funny and comedic personality. Often sharing photos of herself making funny faces via her Twitter and blog.

Her debut mini-album, titled “もしもし原宿” (Moshi Moshi Harajuku), will be released in August 17th of 2011. The mini-album will be produced by 中田ヤスタカ (Nakata Yasutaka) from capsule. Prior to the mini-album, she will release the leading track of the release titled “PON PON PON” on July 20th of 2011 as a digital single worldwide via iTunes.

Anyone else addicted to PONPONPON? I can't stop playing it and it's ALWAYS in my head :/ I love it. I can't wait for Moshi Moshi Harajuku to come out.

An interesting thing to note is that the single reached #1 on iTunes in Finland. Even though she's only promoted the song in Japan! Amazing for a debut artist!

My boyfriend is OBSESSED with her and is desperately hoping I'll end up liking her too...hasn't worked yet.

Idk, the song just sounds so typical Nakata. Maybe if it were a bit more original I'd pay more attention. But her style; that I've never seen anything like before.

Maybe I don't listen to enough Nakata to know his "typical sound". I just know she's the more interesting electronic artist of right now.

I just love the melody of the song. It's soooo nice.

It is a digital single and was released in over 21 counties (it even got #1 in Finland, even though she didn't promote the song outside of Japan!). So you can buy it on iTunes :] I can't find a download for it though...Well, not an HQ one anyway.

I usually never fall for this stuff LOL

I love the PV, it's so bright and colorful. Those random things reminds me of Ai Otsuka's LUCKY STAR's PV but much better than that

Kinda missed Aicchin, she could pull a thing like this XDDD

She has that idol cuteness amplified by the kawaii fashion style mixed with this.... Burton-esque quirky horror... I don't even know how to properly describe it, her style isn't like anything I've seen before. Plus, Nakata producing her music= TOTAL WIN.

Have to agree with bondingo that the song does have the Nakata stamp on it but I think it's insanely catchy and suits her voice. Definitely will keep this girl on my radar.
