Early versions used in CMs

Has anyone else here noticed that sometimes we hear VERY different versions of songs in the CMs they're featured in? The first time I really noticed this was when i finally heard the I am... track i was most waiting for, "still alone". I loved how it sounded in the CM, but then the album version was kind of obnoxious and i didn't like it at all. Here are all the different versions i've noticed:

ANGEL'S SONG - much simpler arrangement, very very different vocal take... may even be a demo version it's so simple
everywhere nowhere - "everywhere... nowhere..." backup vocals absent
July 1st - slowed down a bit, different vocal take
monochrome - different vocal take
Naturally - different vocal recording with a slight lyric change, quieter backup vocals, simpler arrangement
Naturally "dolly remix" - metallic effect on the vocals in the CM, gone on the CD version
STEP you - REALLY slowed down. Like ALOT.
still alone - CM has a different recording of the lead vocals, no backup vocals at all, and more pronounced guitar
too late - different vocal take (only in the first Honda cm)
Trauma - different vocal take
walking proud - different vocal take

Has anyone else noticed these? (I should add, does anyone even care? I'm a weirdo after all. heh.) ANGEL'S SONG, Naturally, still alone, and everywhere nowhere are all especially noticeable. Was anyone else disappointed with the final versions of one of those songs? Or did anyone hear the CM version, not like it much, then love the full album version?

Yeah it does happen to me too. Maybe the arrangement of a song is done to suit the CM itself or something. Sometimes the preview song is more attractive than the actual song and sometimes it's the opposite.

ANGEL'S SONG: Sounded faster and more.. how should I say interesting and lively? The song ended up to disappoint me.
STEP you : sounded slower and more drawn out.
my name's WOMEN: Sounded more dull and her vocals were more deep? Might be just my imagination though XD

Otherwise I didn't notice much XD but those two were crearly drawn out when I listened to the CM.

i think that because ayu haven't record full version of the song while the CM has to be released soon so she just record the 15s or 30s second for the CM. that's why the song in the CM sounds different from the original version

that's why i fell in love with ANGEL'S SONG...and now..the real official arrangement isn't as appealing,

I agree with My Names Women, sounded very empty in the CM, and STEP YOU was plain lethargic. The actual songs turned out to be diamonds.

Ye-a, and sometimes the sound in the CMs is better than original! That's unfair.

my name's WOMEN seemed a lot better in the CM than the final version, that was a bit disappointing. I don't remember the others, although I might go back and compare the CMs I have with the final versions now.

Actually my name's WOMEN impressed me more in the full version after I watched the promotional video.

i've heard somewhere that Moments was meant to be just a CM only song... but ended up being completed, recorded and released on the album... don't know if it's true, though.

for me, most CM versions differ slightly, especially that all the differences might be due to lower quality of the CM rips. the sound gets merged into one channel, gets flattened, etc... but the CM version of STEPyou was surely way different than the single/album version.

i wish they released those versions. when 'fairyland' was going on market, i thought that STEPyou remix was going to be the CM version of the song, but it wasn't...

but the final version for RAINBOW sucked big time...

remember when the moments VISEE cm was released and we were all wondering if that was even ayu singing!

I thought moments was very different on the CM

*runs to check her WORKING non internet connect computer, to compare these cms to song*

oh also... in the ayu-mi-x IV cm's... I liked I am... how it was mixed with the remix AND acoustic orchestra versions... I wish they made a version that did that!

Yes, I've noticed the same differences. I think u forgot also about Moments - if I'm not wrong version used in CM was slightly different. Also About You sounds different in CM. I must say I'm disappoint especially still alone. Takano Yuri Beauty Clinic CM with previous version of this song was one of my first AYU's songs I heard and I loved this song from the first listening but... d'ya believe that when I got "I am..." album I couldn't recognize them? My first contact with AYU's songs was when I watched dozen of CMs where her songs was used. In half of those CM titles of bg songs wasn't shown so when I got my first of her albums (I am...) I supposed to I found there some songs from CMs I heard before. To could get to know how many songs which I known from CMs is on this album first thing I made was fragmentary listening of album and as I said before I didn't recognize still alone

Only when I start to listening full album song by song I've noticed that song I wanted to hear in full version so much was still alone and it was there. In that time I didn't know that this song wasn't released in CM version in all. I supposed to in CM was used remix version but after I got all remix albums and singles where this song could be found I lost my hopes that I could get this track in CM version. I remember I started to topic - here on AHS - where I asked about possibility of getting this track and then I found out this song never wasn't released in this version. It was very sadly information for me...

However if someone figure on final version of Bold & Delicious will be better than preview I think the best way is forgot about it because final version of Bold & Delicious was used in this preview...

i was going to say that About You sounded a lil bit different from the real thing.. haha but it was being mentioned.. so never mind

i think that the version of Moments used in the CM is the accompaniment of the real song.. the real song sounds much "higher" than the one in the CM..

Does anyone else think maybe some of these recordings are actual demo versions? Moments pretty much WAS, by the sound of it (i didn't know it was originally supposed to only be in the CM... i'm glad it was released in a final version, especially since that was the song that buki proposed to me to *^___^*), and ANGEL'S SONG and still alone were very very very different. I wish we could get a hold of some of these older versions. I heard some Do As Infinity demos so it's possible, i just don't think anyone among us has access to that kind of thing for ayu.
