 These are very throwback-to-the-90s IMO. I don't know if I'd have ever pictured Ayu doing these kinds of covers though. (especially for a summer release) They evoke Ai Otsuka, Anna, or Miliyah Kato a bit, like the title has, at least to me. She looks good, however! And really young. Quote:

I like the black and white throw back. I've always been a fan of black and white. the DVD and BR covers are still growing on me lol.

I reallllllllyyyyyyy like them!!
They're such a throwback, such a fresh start for ayu, she's had so much like pastel in a studio looking pretty covers. These are a bit more raw and i love it!

Yes, she definitely looks very young, specially on the CD+BD cover, she looks like a 15 year old.
Still, the covers are a big no  them lips ruin everything

There was a time that her resting face wasn't so lippy or "fierce" with teeth exposed... but I think sometime after 2006/2007, everything changed.
I guess part of it is that I can see these covers on those 8cm singles she released up until Boys & Girls.

Don't like them. Can't stand this hypersexualised "come and fuck me" gaze female popstars love to make.
Covers like LOVEppears, Duty and RAINBOW are brilliant for example, because they are not just Ayu being sexy. Those covers have an actual meaning. The new ones have not. Even though it's just her face and she's not naked those covers sexualise and objectify her a 1000 times more. I'm really disappointed.

The lips are weird but the rest is great. I love the black and white thing going on and her hair. They are not my favorite but they are pretty good.
