I think we don't have to be worried about the single reaching number 1 in the charts. lol
I watched a little of the I seek performance you posted. Let's just say I like their less pop-y stuff more. That cover doesn't really fit the mood of the song.

To me their worst music period was towards the end of 2010 when they released Løve Rainbow , Dear Snow & Hatenai Sora which were all really boring (ok the PV for Hatenai Sora saved things to a certain extent)
And their worst PV was Dear Snow which was a big major bore  When they released truth , it was amazing as they never had a dark angsty song prior to that release and Breathless was a great follow up to the dark route (and Platinum Data was pretty good which I watched it when it was shown here in cinemas) Their last 2 singles prior to I seek / Daylight all centred on love lol

I seek / Daylight 1st day sales - 406,274
Woo great numbers & Calling / Breathless 1st day sales was 398,304 *insert random do not support Johnnys but ignorant personnel who only post in ARASHI's thread whenever sales related posts are concerned  Wonder if there's any chances for I seek / Daylight to be their best selling single since their debut single ? Anyway I seek / Daylight deserves it . I didn't liked I seek at 1st but I have warmed up to the song considerably & Daylight is good And both B-sides in the single are not bad too

I guess I just don't like many of their boygroup-y lovey-dovey songs. lol Like One Love. Ugh. I kind of got used to it, but I prefer songs like Face Down.

Oh Face Down was and still amazing . Hard to believe that was the last single Sakurai rapped in o_O
One Love is cheesy yeah but it was a perfect conclusion to conclude Hana Yori Dango and it's still their only single to have a remix that had 3 singles rolled into 1 Also lyrically it's still 1 of the most requested Wedding songs to date as well and like most of their PVs , their performances of One Love is way better than the PV (with the randomly weird outfits which didn't helped) I still feel their older works were great as they were very hip pop rock driven . I remembered disliking Step and Go a LOT when it was released back then

Is One Love really that popular? Ugh. The lyrics are especially off putting to me. But to each their own, I guess.
Face Down is love. I don't know why the jimusho doesn't just let them go in that direction. It's not that I don't like some of their more boyband-y songs, but why not let them record more songs like a Day in Our Life or PIKANCHI or Face Down?

Yeah One Love was and still is really popular . 2008 was when their popularity climbed back for a 2nd time as that time , it was the 2nd best selling single of the year (the 1st being truth / Kaze no Mukou e)
Let alone I'm Hana Yori Dango bias and I have no idea why up to now , MatsuJun & Inoue Mao has not married yet for the longest time -_- Also I liked the dance/hand moves that accompanied it if they did One Love in music shows . It's frankly annoying that in PVs they do not dance (they just stand there look pretty) but in music shows , it's a different thing altogether When they did Face Down at Kouhaku , it was mind blowing and captivating . Same thing it annoys me they didn't danced in the PV :x And with any Johnnys , I think they have a say in what they release to a certain extent and it depends on the context . Like it will be super odd for them to release a love ballad that's for a dark heavy drama

From all the HanaDan songs I like WISH the most, I think. The first season of the dorama was the better one anyway. =P Haven't seen the movie yet.
Are MatsuJun and Inoue really dating? I've read that they are in a secret relationship since like 8 years and there are rumours about them getting married. Those two are really cute together, though. I don't think they have to dance in every PV. That would get boring. I mean they do dance in the Face Down PV, it's just no actual choreography. Yeah, tie-ins limit the song selection.

WISH brings back a lot of great funny memories , not just Hana Yori Dango related but everytime in the old Shounen Club episodes , A.B.C-Z's Kawai always never fails to impersonate MatsuJun
And when that happened again during last year's Johnnys Countdown with both of them side by side together , so awesome  I like to think so and the last time when ARASHI hosted Kouhaku , rumours were spourting that Inoue Mao & MatsuJun would announce their engagement which obviously didn't materialised . They looked adorable together anyway

Ahh~ I'm in love with both PVs! But hey, what else is new?
For "Daylight", I don't even care that they were just standing & singing...because the guys looked so beautiful while doing so.  Same thing pretty much goes for "I seek", as well...I loved seeing the guys simply moping around/then having themselves an actual party afterwards.  They looked so good in those suits while doing so, anyway!  As for both songs, themselves, still love them so much & also, "supersonic" is so freaking awesome! I can't stop listening to it.  I'm also very happy for how well this single's been selling! Over 600k in just two days...amazing!
