　国税庁は十七日、平成十五年分の確定申告で所得税が一千万円を超えた高額納税者を全国の税務署で公示、上 位百人を公表した。納税額が十億円以上となったのは二人のみで前回の四人から半減。「長者」の小粒化傾向が 定着しつつあるが、五億円以上は三十人と前回の十五人から倍増。景気回復への動きもうかがえた 。
　トップは、上位常連の健康食品販売業、斎藤一人さん（五五）。平成九年分の確定申告から六年ぶりに一位に 返り咲いた。斎藤さんをはじめ健康、美容業界からは十三人がランクインした。
　不況に強いパチンコ、消費者金融業界からも十六人が名を連ねたが、盗聴事件で公判中の「武富士」の武井保 雄前会長（前回八十二位）は百位に届かなかった。
　先月、七十八歳で亡くなった日本マクドナルド元会長、藤田田さんは昨年三月の引退時の退職金約二十四億円 を得たこともあり、前回二十二位から十四位となった。前回、九十五位に登場した大リーグの松井秀喜選手はラ ンク外。米国で納税したとみられる。
　音楽業界からは、Ｂ’ｚの稲葉浩志さんが八十位に入ったが、常連だった浜崎あゆみさん、宇多田ヒカルさん がランク外に。一方で、中国出身の女性グループ、女子十二楽坊の大ヒットが大きな要因となってエンターテイ ンメント関連会社「プラティア」社長、堀口利美さん（四二）が九十五位に入った。
　所得の主な内訳では、土地譲渡が七人、株譲渡は二十九人といずれも近年の減少傾向は相変わらずで、「土地 長者」や「株長者」は影を潜めている。土地譲渡では、マンション建設ブームもあってか、都心への通勤に便利 な駅まで徒歩圏内の土地を売却したことによるランクインも。
　確定申告をした人は全国で約六百九十三万三千人で、前回より約六万五千人増加した。申告者の増加は四年ぶ り。

Cosmetics boss heads Japan's top taxpayers for 2003

A cosmetics company president headed the list of the nation's top 100 income taxpayers in 2003, ahead of pachinko parlor operators, moneylenders, and women's underwear retailers, in a year that saw fewer big earners, an annual tax report has shown.

In its annual report National Tax Administration Agency listed 73,959 people as having paid over 10 million yen in income tax in the year, the third year in a row the number has dropped.

Heading the list of the top income taxpayers was Hitori Sato, 55, a cosmetics retailer from Tokyo. Saito paid almost 1.15 billion yen in income tax, featuring at the top of the list for the first time in six years. The amount he paid was the second lowest since records began for the 1983 period.

Of the top 100 people the number of people who paid 500 million yen or more in income tax rose from 15 people the previous year to 30 people, but those who paid 1 billion yen or more dropped from four people to two.

A total of 12 pachinko parlor operators were included in the list, along with four moneylenders, highlighting their ability to withstand the stagnation in Japan's economy.

The list of top 100 income tax payers included 15 people from the health and beauty industry, including firms that sold women's underwear and health products.

Second after Saito was the president of DHC Corp., a health product retailer, who paid 1.01 billion yen, while the president of an oil transportation firm was third, paying 938.87 million yen in income tax.

Yuriko Higuchi the president of a firm selling women's underwear was fourth.

Den Fujita, the founder and former president of McDonalds Co. (Japan), who died recently was also on the list at No. 14, paying 723.98 million yen.

Japanese baseball star Hideki "Godzilla" Matsui, who featured at 95 on the previous year's list was not featured in the top 100 this year.

So how much money did Ayu make?

Ayu paid 282,370,000 yen (US$245,000) in taxes. Based on this her income is estimated at 769,890,000 yen (US$6,694,000). Her income dropped about 25% compared to last year!!!

Just some correction, Koshi Inaba is in the managment of the record label he's in so he gets more income back from his record sale, Ayu's income are counted after Avex taking their share with the general artiste managment contract, which means that Avex's artists managment department do take a part from whatever job she's taking, including but not limited to advertising appearence, CD/Video sales and other jobs that got via Avex.
