French Pop Music

http://moonlife.free.fr/MP3/05%20-%20I%20love%20you.mp3

Someone at another forum introduced me to some French pop/rock music. I must say some of it is pretty good. The above song is by an artist called Lorie. It's a pretty nice song, kind of reminds me of "Seasons" in a way.

I don't like French music that much , some of it is ok though. Alizée and In-Grid are ok , both are dance music with french vocals but especially In-Grid has a unique sound combining electronic sounds to this instrument which name I don't remeber in english right now. Daft Punk is good also.

but French music somehow gets old to me really fast , a lot of Daft Punk songs sound really alike imo and In-Grid has the same problem too

this reminds me of a whole bunch of melodies being taken from other songs (like a few notes stolen from My Heart Will Go On ^.^*) and put together to create "I Love You" =/ not original to me, sorry.....

I dont like Lorie~ Most of her songs are like, bubble-gum pop... Her lyrics arent really good neither : talk about her boyfriend (sometime her ex-bf) and her collegian loves.....
Now, the "more popular song" here is Tragedie, "hey ho". I really dont like it lol. I dont like french hip-hop, though i'm canadian-french

I haven't heard many French pop songs. There was this one song I used to love by Natasha St. Pier called Nos Rendezvous.

I really like Helene Segara and De Palmas. Yannick is funny. XD I do like In-Grid though, but it's hard not to.

What one song? She has a bunch of songs. I'm guessing you mean "la salle de bain" since it has a french title *shrug*

Hey...anyone wanna introduce me to French music? I've only listened to American, Chinese, and Japanese music in all of my life. Oh, and some English music.

I love this song!! It's really sweet. French sounds really good in song.

Agreed.

Well, that's a bit of an exaggeration in my case, but for the most part I really don't like French (or the other latin-based languages, for that matter). I'll give the song a listen though, just for the helluvit.

EDIT (for the sake of not double-posting)
Well, it's certainly a very pretty song, and would've been much more so were it not for the blurbs in English. For the most part, I can't stand it when different languages are in the same song (sometimes it works though). And, maybe I'm crazy, but I've been getting a very "Boys II Men" vibe from this song. It sounds very much like some of their material. (Yeah, I used to be a huge Boys II Men fanboy when I was younger. Shut up, and stop staring at me like that...)
