Anyone read Dante's Inferno?

Well I have to do a project about Dante's Inferno and it is about making a sound track, minimum of 6 songs and no more than 10. I was thinking putting some Ayu songs in there and I was wondering any of you read this book? Basically it is about this guy Dante walks through hell with Virgil..and they met lots of different famous people in different levels of hell. Also each level of hell have different kinds of sins/punishments/people etc..I have to choose songs those are related to the sins..etc..

If you come to this site..it has a list of different kinds of Sins/punishments..I was wondering are there any of Ayu's songs would fit in here

I actually read it last year. Are you going lyric wise or just the sound of the song?

It's strange I feel so lonely at night
Only because you are not here

After how many times of
Committing a sin like this

Will I be inhuman?
Will I be invisible to everyone?

Ayumi Hamasaki - HAPPY ENDING
Hmm maybe this? I can't tell exactly what sin she is commiting, but I guess it fits what you're looking for.

Didn't the Engrish part of "forgiveness" say something about sins?

Yeah you're right...

But I was holding on for my love
The third line doesn't make sense, but that's what I got from megchan.com

I never knew fear/dispair was a sin. If so, A Song for XX might be a good song, since she's confused about her childhood there, or maybe POWDERED SNOW

As for, "The neutral; uncommitted" NEVER EVER might work:
Quote:
Despite my strong desire,
I started giving up.
I'd find it, release it, and sometimes
there were nights when I hurt myself.
Oh, by the way, is the book good? 'Cause I wanted to read it for a while, but I never heard many good things about it in the last 60 years.

I don't think fear and despair would be sins...

EDIT: Liar can be a good song.

Spending my days too unproductively
I was just intoxicated with funny feelings

The first kiss, various events
Sometimes I became so possessive

(*) The only thing I could do at that time was
To really try turning my back on love

It talks about her being "possessive" and turning her back on love..I dunno if that'll work.

Yeah, I read it. It's not bad, though it tends to go through the same pattern over and over after a while (i.e. Virgil leads Dante to some new circle, explains punishment and sin, Dante recognizes some famous faces, Dante faints, rinse and repeat), but I found it interesting.

Songwise...hmm...

"I Am..." would be good I think. The lyrics make me feel like she's trying to delude her self. I think it would be good for HYPOCRITES, because the narrator of "I Am..." is clinging to and following something she knows is a lie.

"Because of You" would work for LUST. Though this is definately NOT my interpretation, one COULD possibly put a spin on the lyrics as talking about an affair, for this project. Even though I don't think that was what she meant in writing the song, it could work.

According to that site, it lists Despair as the sin for the forest; POWDER SNOW is definately about despair.

"Liar" would also work, but I'm not sure where.

Good luck!
