yea...this list isnt updated...ayu has sold over 40M for sure...which makes her around at the #160 mark. n i also no that SMAP has sold around 27M, which makes them at around #240

nice to see ayu on the list, even number 210 is good when you're talking the entire world and when you consider that japan has a smaller population than the us, not to mention ayu's career has only spanned 5 or 6 years thus far.

This is extremely inaccurate. Japanese artists who've sold more than Ayu are not listed, (Mr. Children, Southern All Stars...) And besides Ayu's total sales are around 40,000,000 now. Utada shouldn't be ahead of Ayu either.

Nah, I saw this Musicstation special earlier this year and Utada was the 9th best selling Japanese artist. Unless she miraculously sold 10,000,000 records...... x_x

Hikaru Utada didn't release a single or something since Exodus in Japan. Her next single is announced in September and another one for next year. According to the top 50 best selling artists in Japan diffused not that long ago on MS, Ayu is ranked #4. She has sold about 42 000 000 discs.. B'z is #1 with 71 000 000! That list you posted must be old... or totally incorrect. And Mr Children, #2 overall in Japan isn't even ranked..

The Estimation Table is probably correct. But the rest(the list) is really wrong. As far as I know, Elvis had already sold 1 billion record and 145 million records sold in USA only. This is not an inaccurate,TOTALLY CRAP!!!(FYI,USA is currently the biggest music market in the world. No wonder USA has so many bestsellers. The total record sold in USA will most likely influence the worldwide sales. I hope Ayu would open her heart and try to conquer it with her magnificent style of music!!)
