Ayu and Destiny's Child. Coincidence?

Ok so today, I was watching some of Destiny's Child's PVs for the first time. WELL. Wasn't I shocked when I started playing the Survivor PV and it's the SAME EXACT thing as the fairyland PV. Well some parts anyway. For example, the beginning in both is a far out shot of an island from the ocean. Then it switches to one of the girls' faces (her eyes closed, head resting on the ground or something), just like Ayu does. Then in the Survivor video, it shows one or more of the girls dancing in the sand, much like Ayu's dancing in INSPIRE. Then in the Survivor video, the girls and other dancers are dancing on top of a platform on a temple or something, like Ayu and her dancers do.

WTF I was so shocked. There are too many similarities for this to be a coincidence. I hope some of you can watch the Survivor PV so you can see what I'm talking about.

Interestingly enough, I just got my "#1's" today, & was watching the DVD side, & saw "Survivor" again (for however many times). And I don't think they're that similar aside from the beach. I think it's 'cause too many videos have been done at the beach, I just got used to them. I mean, even Ayu has done it w/ "SURREAL", "INSPIRE", AND "fairyland"...

But if you wanna talk about similarities, there's more. In "Survivor", there's a scene w/ the three girls in a pool of water under a waterfall...that's also in "fairyland". The one in "Survivor" looks really fake though. Probably 'cause of the lighting.

I figured I would get replies like this coming from an Ayu forum. I myself am an avid Ayu fan, but facts are facts. If you actually saw the Survivor video you would see the similarities.

Well the fairyland PV has nothing is special to begin with...it has a beach, it has natural places, it has dancers, to that extent you could even say ayu's copying her own PV INSPIRE.....If Destiny Child's PV had dolls with the inscription BEST SINGING MACHINE, A girl going to the city because she's the STARS and other things that could actually resemble one of her more original videos, but fairyland has really nothing special other than just beautiful places. It's really hard to say that something unoriginal is a specific copy of something else. However if you're talking about the figurine or the photography, then could you show us a few screenshots for comparisons?

Ok well what really struck me as similar was in the beginning of the Survivor PV, when there was a shot of the island, JUST like in fairyland when the title appears at the beginning. Then, in the fairyland PV, you see Ayu's face close up as it is resting on her arm (?) and it is sideways and her eyes are closed. Same in Survivor. The similarities I noticed with the dances in Survivor and INSPIRE were, that they were both in the sand right at the water, and they were both on their knees and moving their arms around in the sand in front of them.

OH. And if you want to view the Survivor video, you can go to Yahoo.com and go to the music section and search for Destiny's Child > Survivor. That's where I viewed it. I would take screencaps but for some reason it won't play on my computer (I saw it on a different comp).

Um BASICALLY I'm saying there are very similar things between the two. Why don't you people take a look at the video instead of getting so cynical.

I think AyuMayu is just trying to say it's kinda funny..or something that it's so similar..perhaps even entertaining? O_o;
I can be almost POSITIVE Ayu never based her ideas on anyones stuff...but it's just funny how people can come up with such alike ideas.

Ive seen the survivor mv many times before and it u ever say compare to fairyland i honestly dont find much similarities. Besides if u say this then it means Ayu is copyin destiny's child coz survivor came out in 2001 was it? newayz fairyland is much kooler lol, burning...

There are similarities, yes. But then you can say the fairyland PV is just like the show Baywatch. Baywatch also has a beach, and trees, and people on the sand, and waterfalls, and hey I bet Pam Anderson sang and danced around once in a while.

I've seen both videos numerous times and I think there is absolutely NO similarity other than the beach. Lots of videos have beaches in them. The coincidence means nothing.

Actually, I always believed that Destiny's Child copied Ayu.
This was waaay back in the day, back in the old age of 2001.
When the UNITE! single was coming out, it was widely spread that it would be called Survivor. Then, suddenly, Destiny's Child puts out a song called Survivor, and almost immediately the Ayu song was changed to UNITE!.
And this is the weirdest of all. I was seeing a movie in the theater, and they were showing a Pepsi commercial before the previews, featuring Destiny's Child singing Bootylicious. At the end of the song, for no reason, it flashes the words LOVE DESTINY.
No, I'm not kidding. I screamed, "WHAT?????!!!?!?!" very loud in the theater, since this came shortly after the whole Survivor incident.
So it's weird to see the Survivor video compared to the fairyland video. Maybe it's Ayu's revenge?
