There's a lot of Avex artists that don't perform at a-nation. Hitomi doesn't perform, V6 doesn't perform, DA PUMP, Shimatani Hitomi, speed (they're back together now), Jeanne de arc...

Chances are Namie probably was working on a new album. She hasn't had one in a long time (if you don't count the Suite Chic album). Other than that, she's only had a few singles. Nothing really new to go on tour for. All the other artists on there have had several singles or an album come out within the year.

At least that's my take on it.

Umm...I'm not sure whether to believe this or not but heaps of sources say it's because of the rivalry between Ayu and Namie that's the reason behind Namie's absence. Ayu decides who to go with her on the A-nation concert and she decided that Namie wouldn't go. Namie couldn't do anything about it cuz she's no longer the major player in Avex.

I think stricly speaking it's a rumour but a very likely one and I personally believe it.

Hope I made sense. ^^;;

That's a rumour. Namie or Ayumi would never be pathetic to do that because of rivalry (if there really is any???). That would be very stupid if it were true.

Do you really not think theres a rivalry? If i was namie, and ayu came along and started selling ALOT more than me, and doing it 50 times better, i'd hate her too!

BTW, Hitomi DID perform at a-nation this year, not on ayus stage though. She performed on the community area live stage.

Rumors are saying that namie didn't do well ever since she married her husband. Then Ayu came and she tried to be the JQueen again, but Ayu has taken over everything. So, there were rumors that they don't get along.

Most likely, she was working on new album, tour, inu yasha songs and singles. So who knows if it was rivalry? I know is Namie is finally getting back on the jpop and getting herself notice.

Peace out,
Lunchbox

err....I doubt Ayu is incharge of a-nation where she decides who goes and who doesn't...

lol.......there are wayy to many reasons out there for Namie's fall...from her husband, her child, her mother being murdered, her changing her music style and away from TK's style, ayu blah blah blah~

and yaten-> hitomi was there? nmm...i thought she was still on hiatus...the advert only say Ayu, BoA, DAI, ELT, Koda Kumi EXILE & d.a.t.

i always just thought a-nation was just for whoever did well in Avex or whoever avex wanted to promote~ globe wasn't there this year neither~

Dont worry k-kun, im not talkin outta my arse!! A friend sent me a pamphlet from a-nation, and she was even there, she said hitomi was on the opposing stage when ELT was up ^^

besides, my pamphlet says Hitomi was on the stage, she was the headliner of that area of a-nation ... Heartsdales and others were there too

Umm.. that's not exactly how it happened. Namie took a break from her career because she was pregnant...you can't expect to sell more than someone if you're not making any product!

hitomi and the others were there as yaten says, but not on the main stage, and I don't think hitomi was at every concert. You can confirm that at the official a-nation site.

No one knows for sure why Namie wasn't scheduled for a-nation besides the bosses at avex, but I think it was more likely because of practical reasons, like her son and conflicts with her recording schedule rather than a rivalry.

Amuro Namie's agency is not Avex, but Vision Factory. A-nation is for only people who have Avex as an agency. She only release her album in Avex since she met TK long ago.

Not exactly. I don't think everyone on the a-nation program has been managed by axev. Tomoko Kawase and T.M. Revolution have performed at a-nation festivals, and they aren't even on the avex label.

She was . The first a-nation wasn't in 1998? And she sung Body Feels Exit. It was even on the Cd for A-nation at the time.

The first a-nation was in 2002. There was an a-nation CD set released that included Amuro songs, but she was not at the concert.

Sorry. Seems you were right. I looked in the beat freak magazine and Namie was mentioned in year 95 at Avex Dance Matrix and 96 Avex Dance net.

I would love to go to A-nation even more if Namie were there! The show is really Ayu's, though. She gets to perform so many songs and be the last act of the day that everyone is waiting for...
I wish Ayu would do another stadium tour because I'd love to see if she could fill Tokyo Stadium by herself again like she did in 2002. That will always be my favorite concert.

Still, I'd love to see Namie at a-nation..

I've been wondering about that too... I have watched both '04 and '05, but there's no Namie in sight. She would have brought in alot more people if she were there rockin out!
