Music to sleep

Well, I have this habit... I like to listen to music untill I fall asleep (my mp3 player has a timer function )
Lately, I've been getting kinda tired of my "sleep playlist".
So: do you know any songs that are calm enough to make you relax?

I listen to Akino Arai's "Tsuki kara no inori to tomo ni" a lot... It's calm and powerful at the same time.

Me too, I listen until I sleep.

I hate calm music when I'm sleeping. The most often spinned before bedtime song for me is Gwen Stefani's Danger Zone.. Or something rockier..

The calmest I try is Tori Amos' emo stuff. All piano and wailing.

Relaxing is a whole different story. I love Ken Hirai's stuff. Grandfather's Clock rules!

there's this chinese song that i like (dont know the name) which i really like...sounds like a lullaby.
I'll upload it if anyone wants a listen: http://s40.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3...40GWC0QU0V2GLU
its very sweet and calming..unfortunately, i have no idea what they're saying--other than the chorus when they sing in English!

i also like the Fruits Basket theme songs--they sound very much like lullabies.

chibi_sunny: I'm in love with the song! I think I'll try it tonight! I also have the Fruits Basket OP on my playlist!

MC Tatsujin: I listen to calm music mainly because I can't have the music playing very loud - my mother wakes up when I cough, so you can have an ideia how much silence we must have at night >< Calm songs aren't noticed by others so easily XD

I used to listen to the second half of Ayu-mi-x IV (Acoustic Orchestra) before I went to sleep. The end version of Who... is perfect before sleeping.

I like Nakashima Mika, Kanno Youko, and Arai Akino when it comes to sleep/relaxing music. I used to put my CD player into sleep mode when I was *still* afraid of the dark a bit..x_x; But nowadays I just listen to my iPod right before I go to sleep...I listen to my iPod and write in my paperback journal to calm myself before sleeping.

I listen to the final CD of the Final Fantasy X OST~ ends wonderfully with that one song from the game ((name escaping me now)) in an accoustic orchestra version. Very calming~

I also listen to A BALLADS sometimes.

But making my own mix is perfect. It includes Dir en Grey's "Kasumi", Ayu's "Rainy Day", Koda Kumi's "Feel" and other nice things like that. It's very nice ^_^

If you need music to sleep, try Brian Eno's Ambient 1/Music For Airports.

I like to listen to Keiko Matsui's jazz-fusion piano stuff. Excellent for sleeping to!

Also, Hajime Chitose has an incredibly relaxing effect on me. Particularly her Shima Kyora Umui album. The best sleeps I've had I've drifted off hearing that album.

The Millenium actress OST is also good.

So are many of Bonnie Pink's and Maaya Sakamoto songs.

You know....I made a couple of mixed discs of relaxing music....I'll see if I can find them and let you know what's on them...or upload them..whatever....
