Tomoko Kawase and english proficiency
Does anyone know if Tomoko Kawase is fluent in english? Are there any clips of her speaking in english?

I don't know if this helps, but of the three songs written completely in English found on THE WINTER ALBUM, Tomoko wrote the lyrics and was able to translate them to English. For the most part, the English was pretty good, but I don't know if her speaking is good.
There are no sections of English speaking on the whole SUPER TERRA 2000 DVD that I could find, but she might have contributed to the "subtitles". I'd guess she's got the written language down pretty much, while her speaking is a little iffy. |

Well if the "Tommy Airline" intro is any indication, you guys are right. She knows the language pretty well but definitely needs some coaching on her accent.

There's also the 2nd track off her "L.O.V.E.L.Y ~yumemiru LOVELY BOY~" single. It was in english and she sounded better than she did on the Tommy Airline intro.

Yup, I've always been skeptical about her spoken english (although I think it still beats Ayu's by a mile) but lyrics-wise it's pretty decent.

I find that her English is one of the most decent of all the Japanese artistes I've ever heard from.

It's spoken. Would you like the file itself? It's pretty hilarious if you ask me.
