Ayumi Hamasaki was raised by her mother and grandmother, her father left them when she was two. Ayu started modelling when she was seven to help raised money to support her family and later pursued full-time modelling in Tokyo when she was 14. i find this from my friends there, so is that really ayu name as
"HAMAZAKI KURUMI" when she modelling when young time???

I think it's just the name she used when she was modeling/acting. A lot of actors and other famous folks use a name different from their birth name, or even use their entire full name. I think it's usually done if there's already someone out there with the same name. Example, Billy Joe could be famous, and suddenly another guy named Billy Joe is famous. So that there is no confused, the second Billy Joe goes by the name of Billy Johnny Joe Heimerschmit.

when she's start modeling, her agent company gave her a name-cherry, because her eyes are round and big. it's pronounce in chinese 'bin qi tao hu'.
