Rain, who draws a huge audience throughout Asia with his sculpted body and dance moves, is "in positive" negotiations with the filmmaker, said the manager, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the deal was not yet completed.

He said Rain's participation in the movie based on "Mach Go Go," a 1960s Japanese animated series about car racing will be announced "soon." He declined to give further details.

Susan Sarandon, John Goodman, Christina Ricci and Matthew Fox will also be starring in the film, so it's probably not a bad choice if he wants to appear in a potential box office hit.

Wow! We could probably have our next asian super star...maybe it won't have to be so action-y...

because asians in hollywood are all action...examples? The main few who are popular...

That's great that such other high-profile stars will be in it too though. Matthew Fox and Rain in one movie, that's almost too much sexy for me to handle

Rain I hope him good luck. I heard a song he did with that guy sounds kinda good. Atleast he gets some kinda exposure to the us market.

wow, hope the movie is awesome, i used to watch speed racer all the time when i was a little kid......thus i have high expectations
