When do you listen to certain albums?

Sorry, that's kind of a vague question. What I mean is for example, I only listen to LOVEppears when I'm on road trips to certain places, and I only listen to A Song for XX when I'm feeling a certain way. What about you guys? You can list all the albums if you want.

For me:
A Song for XX: I only listen to this when I feel like I don't know what I doing with my life or when I'm just feeling really numb or lonely. Usually when I feel like I've reverted back to a time when I didn't know as much as I do today.

LOVEppears: The first time I ever listened to this was when I was first getting into Ayu and experimenting with her earliest albums. I decided to listen to it all the way through when I was sent on an errand someplace far away that I had never been to before. I got really lost on the way back (MILES away from my house), but LOVEppears kept me company and was very good traveling/lost/exploring music. So now I nearly only listen to it when I'm traveling to some place new or far away. It also brings back a bit of nostalgia from when I was just getting into Japanese music.

Duty: I never really liked Duty when I first listened to it, so I put it away for a long time. Then I pulled it out again about 2 years ago and thought, 'hey, this is freakin' awesome!! Her best from her biggest years are on here!' So now when I feel like listening to old school Ayu at her best I listen to this.

I am...: I used to LOVE this album a long time ago, back when I was into anime and kogals and such; but now it's my least favorite album of hers and only listen to it when I'm feeling nostalgic of my newbie/convention days (which isn't often >_<) or when I'm traveling really really far because it'll bring back that nostalgia and you used to drive to this album.

RAINBOW: I listen to this the most because it's my favorite album, and the first Ayu album I ever bought and the thing that brought me into the Ayu world (it was my experiment to see if I liked Ayu CD). I thought it was unbelievably good (I still do) and the music relates to my personality the most. So not only does it bring back great Ayu nostalgia and is it my favorite album, but it fits my mood almost 75% of the time. It makes me extremely happy with who I am and lifts up the atmosphere.

Memorial Address: When I'm PISSED. That is all. XD It can fit my raging temperament at the time and calm it down at the same time. And Memorial Address makes me scream and cry in my anger. XD Also, it reminds me of when I listened to it non-stop after I bought it at an anime convention, so I used to listen to it on the way back from every convention (when I still went to them XD).

MY STORY: When I feel like giving this album a chance again. XD Happens once in a while, and then sometimes I remember why I used to like it so much. But then I forget. XD I only listen to this on my computer when I'm doing homework when I know I won't get too into the music to distract me.

(miss) Understood: Good for most occasions for me because I'm bound to have at least one of the songs stuck in my head at all times. XD Also has some of my favorite songs from her, so I listen to this almost as much as RAINBOW. And I listen to this when I'm traveling to certain places that I first listened to it (going to the dentist, going to my friend Emily's house...).

Secret: When I want good hard-core rock songs. Happens a lot. Never listen to it for the ballads or happy songs.

GUILTY: In the bath. XD And when I'm traveling short distances (I just can't get into the whole 2nd half of the album :/). Also, when I'm feeling really sad I listen to this (the part from Faded-Marionette).

I have no specific time period haha.

I don't normally listen to the whole thing, just songs from whichever. When I do listen to the whole thing it's only cause I want to, no special occasion or anything.

Of course, I'll listen to certain songs when I want to feel better, or worse, or the same in terms of mood. If you know what I mean.

I don't listen to Ayu at any specific time or any specific album...I just listen all the time, to every album!

It's kinda random, if I'm in the mood for certain types of music, I listen to different albums, because she's so diverse in her music.

Usually I listen to her newer stuff, but if I start to get tired of it, I go back and try like Duty and LOVEppears and stuff like that. A Song for XX I hardly listen to tho, except for the main song.

A Song for XX: When I'm bored and don't know what else to listen to. Either that or I feel like listening to oldies of some kind.

LOVEppears: When I'm in the mood for a smooth version of Ayu's voice...and some dance-like music.

Duty: When I'm feeling up to fantasy-like music or something with imagination.

I am...: When I'm in the mood for fun music.

Rainbow: Again, when I feel like listening to something with a lot of imagination infused.

My Story: When I want to listen to rocky and upbeat music.

(miss)understood: When I want to hear diverse types of music from Ayu.

Secret: Idk about this...I just listen whenever.

GUILTY: Addicted to it still because it's new. Also I listen to this when I feel like listening to darker stuff from Ayu.

Every time I drive in my car I listen to GUILTY.

Otherwise, whether I'm at school, home, whatever, I listen to whatever song I feel like listening to. XD

Strangely enough I listen to Secret (or most of it anyway) when I want to feel a warm spring day and blue skies. With BLUE BIRD this makes sense but with JEWEL and momentum, it really doesn't. XD I guess it's because that's when I first got really into it.

That's really funny!! XD i never thought of relating Secret to spring and blue skies. But that's so neat! It's so cool to see what the albums mean to everyone! ^_^

With Ayu it really depends for me. Sometimes I'll put on one song then listen to that enitire album. Other times I'll skip around to random songs that I like from all sorts of albums. So really, I just have to be in the mood. There isn't any specific reason I listen to a certain album beyond just wanting to hear it.

I don't listen to Ayu all the time, I get a bit tired of listening to one artist all the time, so I'll have a few in my playlist. It just depends on what I feel like listening to, if I want to listen to Ayu I usually listen to my favourite albums and songs mostly. I rarely listen to A Song for XX anymore, and I don't usually listen to LOVEppears because it's not a favourite. Mostly the albums after that, except MY STORY and m(u), are the ones I listen to most.

Well, I don't need to do something special along with listening to an album, ayu is the artist that I like listening to her albums (like the whole way) the most so it's really easy.
i just put an album when I want to hear it and listen to the whole thing, no special moods for any.

It's not so much listening to albums at specific times as it is for songs. For one thing, I don't own all ten albums (and even then, I only have about two songs from albums I don't have). Another reason is because I never really listen to a full album. I usually listen to her rock songs if I'm angry, ballads if I'm sad, and upbeats if I'm happy. </cliche>

I listen to all of Ayu's albums, just whenever really.
But I tend to listen to A Ballads when ever I'm in the bath, and a remix album when I'm in the shower. =)

When I have the urge to listen to a certain song say: Memorial Address ~take 2~ I take out my Memorial Address and listen to the song and then shuffle the whole album.

a song for xx: when i look at her albums and cant decide what to listen to. so i just pick a song for xx or when i feel like listening to her super high voice

LOVEppears: when i feel erm. happy! or para-para-ish. cause of trauma >_>

Duty: when i want to relax and study. i just find duty really. SURREAL. seriously the whole album is to me

A BALLADS: which is probably my most listened to album because of rainbow. i just love the whole album so i listen to it. most of the time

Memorial Address: when i feel sad or angry. i skip ANGEL'S SONG & Greatful days. so i get to hear the rest of the "angry" kind of songs.

My Story: when i need ballads or INSPIRE really really badly @~@

(miss)understood: Once in a while. cause most of the songs are pretty ear-wormish. so i try not to touch it. in case i scream "BOLD&DELICIOUSSSS" too loudly

Secret: when i feel crappy. cause JEWEL and momentum make me feel better.

GUILTY: now. i listen to it now. cause its new? and probably cause they are new songs

but i do just pick and play songs. not the whole album. unless i use my cd player. so it comes randomly

A Song For xx: I listen to this when I want to reminisce upon the time around 1998-1999. I was so young and naive, so this album really is like a theme for me at that time. "A Song For xx" (the song itself) is such a great title song for this album.

LOVEppears: Whenever I want to feel like dancing or like in a trance. I especially love "kanariya", because it's unlike anything Ayumi had done then, so I love it.
