Help me choose a song!

Let me give some background and rules first.

Every year, our choir at school puts on a show in the fall. Rather than a regular, ol' recital, this show involves dancing and always sticks to a certain theme. This will be my third year doing it and our theme this year is "Listen to the Music of the 70s."

Three out of four of our choirs participate and we usually have "featured soloists" in the middle of some group performances. Since I'm a senior, I'm thinking about trying out for a solo and possibly even perform! ()

The thing is, I can't think of a song to sing! So, do you guys want to help? There are some rules/regulations/etc...

○ It HAS to be from the 1970s.
○ It must be in English.
○ I'm a girl, so try to stick to a song with a female voice. I don't see how a male voice could hurt since I could always change the transpose, but using a song with a female voice would be easier.
○ It cannot be one of the following songs (and then plus some, but I can't think of them):

Spoiler:
Another One Bites the Dust
Bohemian Rhapsody
Car Wash
Dancing Queen
Here Comes the Sun
I'll Be There
I Got a Name
I Will Survive
Joy to the World
Listen to the Music
Shining Star
We Are the Champions
We Will Rock You
Will it Go Round in Circles
The Winner Takes it All
YMCA
Your Song

Any help would be greatly appreciated! ^^

Joni Mitchell - A Case Of You
Tim Buckley - Song To The Siren
Nico - Afraid
Vashti Bunyan - Swallow Song

I think those are great.

If you are vocally talented, you must show off performing Barbra Streisand's Evergreen (Love Theme from "A Star is Born"), or try something from Elton John that sticks to your own voice. If not, some ABBA tracks are very representative of the 70's, like S.O.S.

Gimme Gimme Gimme - Abba.
A sample from this song was used in Madonna's Hung Up.

Seems like ABBA is a very popular pick. That's great! I love their work! ^^ One thing that's great is that a lot of their better music is upbeat. That's wonderful! I get so sick of people doing ballads for solos.

XFER1 -- I've actually never heard any of those songs, but I will surely listen to them!
