no, NINKI doesn't predict sales, that's just the index of how many Oricon subscribers were interested, as far as I know.

actually it's out of 400 people. Oricon randomly pick 100 subscribers from each generation (10s - 40s), and 1:1 ratio from each gender within the group.

Usually I consider singles with >180.00 points are stronger ones, and albums with >325.00.
