[last.fm] About ayu and other female artists

Well, I wanted to see who was the Japanese female artist with the most plays in Last.fm (a site that many members of this forum use)

and guess what, Ayumi came out #1 with 14,321,943 plays so far!

here are the positions & details:

(+) This means that the plays keep raising.

keep in mind that this doesn't mean how many listeners the singers have, talking about the number of listeners its a different story

I found this very funny! Because I thought that koda kumi and namie amuro would be third and fourth, and also many people talks bad about ayu and she still tops the charts all the time etc ^^

EDIT: I picked the most popular Jpop female singers that I know for this! so if you know/found any other female artist with more plays than any of this listed here, please tell me and show me and I will put them up

Very cool stats!

Somehow I think the Hikki fans here will start looping their plays of her songs to beat Ayu though

That's a lot of plays for these artists. I looked for Seiko Matsuda and she has something like 183,215 plays across two accounts! Ayu and Hikki have loooooooots of listeners! o_O

ayaka has way more plays than that. That is if you include the 絢香 (correct way to tag her imo) account.

絢香 495,243 plays
ayaka 433,560 plays

I'm sooo happii to see alan at #19 and I hope her position will continue to rise!!! But Yuna-chan makes me a little sad, she deserves to enter at least TOP 10.... >.<
