MAX's first new single
MAX will release their first single since reuniting with original member mina July 22nd. The single will feature the song, "ラフカット ダイアモンド" which will be used as the theme for the drama "かりゆし先生 ちばる!" that begins airing June 29th.

Oh wow, new MAX single!

I heard a few of their songs under the super monkeys name, that was back then when Namie Amuro was still with them, and I liked it.

Never tried out their material under MAX though, wonder if it is good? Hmm...

I think they're awesome, truly good, sad they aren't with Namie, but itt's a blessing in disguise!

Pop group MAX has been chosen to provide the theme song for a TV Tokyo daytime drama series called "Kariyushi-sensei Chibaru!" This is their first theme song for a TV series since "Ride on time" was used in TV Asahi's 1998 drama "Sweet Devil," which starred the members of MAX.

"Kariyushi-sensei Chibaru!" is set in the group's native Okinawa. Actress Sachiko Kokubu stars as a former politician ousted after a corruption scandal, winding up on the island as an elementary school teacher. TV Tokyo plans to air the show on weekdays starting June 29, though the exact time slot has not been determined yet.

MAX's song is called "Rough Cut Diamond" and will go on sale in July. This is the group's first single since MINA's return, making it MAX's first one in about seven years with the original members.

And apparently, they re-released it back in 2004 with a CD+DVD version, which is cool.

MAX is my favorite "girl"-group. (WHATEVER they're full-red-blooded women <3) IMO they had the best Eurobeat in the 90s. Then the Okinawan-pop they come out with a few years ago was great too. They rarely disappoint me.
