Has anyone ever lost a package in delivery from CDJapan?

I ordered Lady Gaga's "The Fame Monster" Deluxe Edition from CDJapan about three weeks ago and I still haven't gotten it.

I chose regular airmail shipping and I was wondering if anyone has any experience in losing a package in delivery from CDJapan and what they do about it.

Since I requested regular airmail shipping, I'm not expecting much help from them, but if anyone has ever gone through their claims process the information you could provide would be very helpful.

^ I'm definitely hoping that's the case too.

And I guess I should be prepared to wait up to *8 weeks* for delivery since that's what it says in the e-mail CDJapan sent me when they mailed it out, it's mostly that I was just hoping to get some information on what I should do if I don't ever get it.

I'm pretty sure that when you order something online using either Visa or Paypal, you do get some sort of buyer protection from either of them, don't you?

The only problem I ever had with any shipping (which was ordering from CDJ) was whenever I chose EMS, and it didn't come for over a month. D: I emailed them and asked them if they could find out the tracking of the order, and they were very prompt. They tracked the order for me and confirmed it wasn't lost, just that they (whoever had a hold of the package at the time) were being slow in shipping it, because of the EMS thing. -.- So just email them and ask for a report. (Which, if they did it for my crappy, lowest and slowest ever, supposedly non-trackable shipping, they should do it for regular airmail, hah.) It probably is slow because of Christmas. :\

I ordered Alan's red cliff and never received it... That's the only time it happened in 6 years
Though I emailed them but never got any answer from them (that was quite weird).. I'm not sure but I think they added points to my account in exchange to the lost package..
Just like you I normaly choose regular airmail and I get my package within a week, so it was kind of weird that I never got my Alan CD (that's why I ended up selling my alan singles lol since I was missing Red Cliff and I was too lazy to buy it again..)

Well I ordered kuu's BEST ~second session~ from CDJapan on around 6th-7th December (three weeks ago as well) and I recieved it a week afterwards...
(And I never had problems with CDJapan, ordering from them for 2 years already).

I always use registered air mail though and when it reaches my country I can track it through my country's post office's services online.

Maybe it's because the post office in my city wasn't busy or they somehow shipped it fast... maybe it arrived to your country but the post office is busy?

I really hope your order will arrive soon!

^ They also allow you to personally track it if you have REGISTERED airmail (only registered, not regular).

Yeah, you can do that. But, from what I remember (though, the last time I ordered with registered airmail from there was a while ago...), the tracking number should be in the order summary email, or maybe on the order summary in your account. Because I swear I remember finding it somewhere in one of those places, and not emailing them about it... But if you can't find it, yeah, I don't see why they wouldn't send it to you.

this is what they wrote on their HELP section
Quote:
Registered Air Mail

* Usually delivered in 4-12 days after the order is shipped.
* Online tracking is not available.
* The package will be registered, and in case there is delay in delivery, the post office will be able to search for it.
* Signature of the recipient is required upon delivery.
* In case you are absent at the time the attempt is made to deliver your package, your local post office/courier will either leave a note with contact information or repeat attempts to deliver it.
* In case you do not receive your order in the span of time mentioned in our shipping confirmation e-mail, please call your local depot/post office to see if they might be holding the parcel for you.

^ What!? Did they change it??? Because I remember tracking an order from them. And I've never ever used EMS, on any site, and I know for a fact you can't get tracking with the stupid SAL crap (what I usually use). And it couldn't have been somewhere else, because I've only ordered from CDJ for years now... Maybe they screwed up, lol..? Or maybe I've gone completely insane???? Oh gosh, now I'm paranoid for my mental state, lol. ;_;

Yeah, I think they were a bit busy, cause I paid to have my item within two weeks, but it was more than that. Kinda a waste of money. Kinda thinking I should complain
