Year you became a fan of Ayu?

What year (and month, if you can remember) did you become a fan of Ayu? Not including the first time you heard her (unless you became a fan at that time).

For me, it was probably in May or July 2001. I was looking through a lyrics site when I stumbled upon the lyrics and mp3 for "M". From then on, I was a fan. However, I didn't start buying until March 2002, the release of Daybreak, partially because I didn't know how to.

I want to see how many "veteran" Ayu fans there are here - who've been a fan for over four years - and I'm even more interested in seeing how many fans from Ayu's early days are here as well.

Haha, I became a fan of Ayu's in 2001 with the song "evolution" but I didn't start buying her stuff until 2005. ^^;

I think around november/december 2004... the period between the release of "CAROLS" and "MY STORY"... since then i became a fan, but i know ayumi since 2002 (the first i heard was the remix Hex Hector did for "Endless sorrow")

well, i'm with ayu as long as i can remember.
It was way back in year 2001, when A-best is just out. i'm attacted when seeing those cms everytime, so i bought a pirated copy and i like it a lot.(don't scold me, i'm only 13 back then, hardly any money!!!)
the first original album i bought was Rainbow, which is like 2 years later when i had learn to save more money.

I discovered Ayu in May 2000, after finding an mp3 of "TO BE" when my sister was looking for something else. I downloaded some ayu-mi-x II tracks, alot of other mp3s from around the time, and the "vogue" single which was brand new at the time. My first Ayu CDs were the AUDIENCE single, ayu-mi-x II AO, and LOVEppears, which my mom got me for Christmas 2001. The first Ayu CD I ever bought as soon as it came out (with my own money too) was the Endless sorrow single, 1 year after i became a fan

I heard her in 2002, and I borrowed my friend's "&" single. I liked her music, but really never bothered to find more. But I really got into her music around 2004, around Carols.

I've been a fan of her work since about 2001. The song was "boys & girls." Needless to say, I still buy all her albums and even back them up to a mp3 cd so they won't get scratched up. ^_^
