i don't think it's as easy as "using a headset." any kind of surgery is serious, we don't know what kind of pain she could be in or even what mental state she's in right now. we know how Ayu seems to beat herself up for "letting us down". she's putting US over her health... i think she should rest for a while, that way she would be able to mentally and physically recuperate safely.

I'm really sad for what is happening to Ayu. I feel a little better when Ayu said that she have to rest for 3 weeks. So, she'll get more rest and relax. Now, she can even wrote on her blog. That's mean, she's fine. Only her hand was injured.

I hope Ayu will get more rest. The 3 weeks is not enough for her. She needs a year to heal her strength back ( I think so) because, she's really work damn hard. And I don't hope Ayu will make a perf as soon as possible. I hope she just fine and hope she's more relax.

oh my.. Ayu shld really have a very good rest! Now I'm getting worried for her..although I really want her to perform PCDL.
Didn't know she had anemia! gosh.. she shld be taking really good care of herself since she's onli left with her right ear too.

I think it'd be awesome if she got replaced as first artist, and then did Days as closing song in a very casual jeans outfit. Like HEY I MADE IT. And then everyone would go OMG AYU YOU MADE IT I LOVE YOU and cry lol. XD

edit: I wonder if she doesn't enter, if last time will be her last year with Kouhaku.

I think that Ayu should know that she should rest a bit more. I hope she can recover soon, but she is working herself way too hard!!! This year has really been a hard year for Ayu, hope she has a better one next year!

news travel fast!! an article about ayu's mishap appeared in a tabloid in Singapore. there isnt any "new" news.. but i thought i would share it with u guys. here is the translation!!

Ayumi Hamasaki fell on Christmas eve and broke her left arm. The original plan of her opening the Kouhaku this year may have some changes.

Due to fatigue, which eventually led to anemia, Japan's pop diva Ayumi Hamasaki fell down on Christmas eve and injured her right arm. She even underwent a surgery and at the last minute, had to cancel her performance on "MUSIC STATION SUPER LIVE". It's still not confirmed whether ayu will attend the annual Kouhaku.

Ayumi apologised on her blog and claimed that she was extremely terrified on the day she underwent surgery. Luckily, her manicurist was with her throughout the surgery. The doctor advised her to rest well and it will take approximately 3 weeks to heal completely.

This year had been a rough year for Ayumi. In January 2008, she announced that she had gone permanently deaf on her left ear via her blog. In April 2008, her stylist actually forgot to remove the needle from her concert costume, which resulted in Ayumi having to bear the pain while performing. Throughout her concert in Japan, she also suffered a bad flu. In September 2008 in Hong Kong, she fell down and injured her left arm. Bandage could still be seen at the party after the concert.

Haha yeah that would be really funny. I don't think she not appear on Kouhaku because she missed it due to an injury. After all, this is the biggest end-of-the-year music show and probably the most known. It features the biggest name artist and usually every year you see almost the same line-up of big name artists. If I'm not mistaken the artists are given an invitation. Misuchiru actually declined every Kouhaku invitation up until this year's, so they are new, but really should not be. I know for sure Ayu won't just fall out of popularity and spotlight by the end of next year's December, so we don't have to worry about all that. She'll be on these shows for quite a while even after she becomes less popular.
