-- Yamada's main modeling career began when she modeled under exclusive contract for the fashion magazine CanCam.
She was also part of the group Y'z Factory. In 2003 she began to work on variety programs and was a caster on F1 Grand Prix.
Yamada has quickly become well-known with families nationwide because of the variety programs and commercials for "Yogurt".
In 2005 she was cast as the leading role of Yukari for the anime Paradise Kiss, adapted from Yazawa Ai's manga of the same title.
In 2006 Yamada began a music career with the hit "REAL YOU" and has sold quite well since then.

another little fact about miss Yamada: She graduated from the same famous "Okinawa Actors School" that many other j-pop stars like Namie Amuro & the girlband MAX graduated from.

Thanks for the thread Austin. I think I'll check her out tonight. She did a really great job with "Rhythm Nation"! Nice English and dance steps. Matsujun was totally engrossed in that performance because he's a HUGE Janet Jackson fan. haha.

I LOVE YU!!! She is a really good singer, dancer, etc... I'm sad her last few singles have kinda fell off. I love "Eyes on me", "Little Raindrops", and both the songs off the "Fiesta!Fiesta" single. I'm really looking forward to her debut album.

I really like REAL YOU! It's so funky and retro-ish. She's not a bad dancer either, but I think she did better in that Rhythm Nation video. Plus she's on ARASHI's old record label sooo.... I love her. haha.

I like Yu. She's not anything special but I like her songs. fiesta! fiesta! so far is my favourite.

I like her style though it kinda fits the typical J-Pop formula. She looks quite attractive too!

According to her thePPN page, Yu has a new single coming out the 5th of March!

But other than that, I've not heard or found nothing, so I'm not to sure...

So well have to wait and see I guess; where is this woman?!
