A Best questions
Ok, I just got A Best and on the cover it says only the songs from A Song For XX got a new mix, but come on: Boys N Girls sounds entirely different, that 'wuuuhuhuh' sound (
ok I have no clue how to write that sound down ) has been tuned down! I can't remember, but I think I heard some other differences in other songs but as said I'm not sure and this one was most notable! Still, nothing of it being a 'new mix' has been mentioned. Any thoughts on this?--- Edit --- Ok I don't mean the wuuuhuhuh sound, that's too confusing, just listen to it, you'll see what I mean!

You're right! And I was right all along too, but tell me, does it say anything about those songs being remixed too in the booklet (besides the A Song For XX songs, which is noted on the back cover already)?

I'm not really sure...some people often don't point out that Boys&Girls and End Roll were changed but they surely were.

Yeah, they're definitely different! It's very easy to notice actually, but I might consider the fact that I'm a musician so I seem to notice differences and whatever pretty fast... but really, it's so obvious!

Yep... there are some differences between the songs in A Best and Loveppears...
but unlike in A Ballads, Avex didn't explicitly suggest that in the Cd cover, so probably that's why people didn't notice. I think they just remixed it or something.. - just like To be.. (Actually, I liked Atsushi Hattori's original mix on the single the best) |

It's funny because in Ayu albums they often doesn't specify when the single version is different from the album. With most artists the album song will come with "name of the song" -Album Mix-
That didn't happen with WHATEVER and TO BE though

But for the three tracks from A Song For XX the vocals were re-recorded (A Song For XX, Trust, Depend On You) and I'm not sure but I believe the music for Depend On You was remixed too if I remember correctly!

i wonder why is avex doin that too...these versions sounds so different, obvious resing, maybe they think ayu's early voice ain't as good so they want her to resing it..but i dun understand why dun they said it on the album that itz a new version

Well Boys & Girls didn't have a new vocal mix I'm sure about that, it was just the music that was remixed. Pretty weird, why wouldn't Avex mention that? And look at this way: there's prolly a whole bunch of ppl who bought this album cuz they liked the singles and they ended up hearing different songs! Probably some sneaky marketing trick so that ppl will buy the real albums anyway, or just to make it feel like a new album altho it has nothing but old songs on it. I'm confused.

I'm surprised I even noticed they were changed. I guess I must listen to those songs alot.
But the first time I heard Boys and Girls and End Roll I noticed they were remastered and/or had new vocals. I kinda like them that way, especially End Roll. I didn't notice it in Depend on You, but maybe I wasn't paying close enough attention |
