J-POP vs. K-POP

which do you listen to more?
I picked k-pop. I listen to it way more probably because I understand the language better

J-POP. I only like BoA's korean songs (some of them) and it ends in that.

J-Pop. Like a lot of other people have said, J-Pop just feels a lot less generic than K-Pop, although I will admit that K-Pop is usually very well-produced. I like two or three K-Pop groups, but that's about it.

more Jpop for me, but i listen to more Cpop also, not a lot of Kpop, but since knowing epik high-one and a friend who is Kpop-crazy right now and having comcast with M Countdown, i'll probably steer toward Kpop

Mm, J-Pop... I don't listen to K-Pop too much...
My K-Pop listening is basically BoA's korean songs, but even then it's rare and I can hardly tell them apart (except for the really beautiful ones like We and Good-bye XD)~~
I think it's because I understand a little of japanese, and NO korean whatsoever XD it's easier to recognize songs. PLUS since I already listen to J-pop, I already know the artists that I like and need to look out for... I dunno much about the korean music industry haha XD and I'm too lazy to research about it I know, I know... I'm lame...

I'm a fan of both. It's hard to pick a favorite genre.

Right now, I'm loving K-Pop more because it's so fresh and fun.
Korean songs are so much more catchy.

You don't get anything super catchy like this in Japan:
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4a...babo-liv_music

Also, Koreans usually has better vocals too. They are certainly less nasally.

OMG! You go gurl!

I have to agree with Song. It's too hard to choose. Koreans do have better vocals than Japanese as well as when it comes to english. I just hate that K-music/artist (expect BoA and Tohoshinki) aren't popular on here. I know most of you have mainly grown up on J-pop but I think most of you should try out K-pop. Their music isn't disappointing at all.

Pssst, don't listen to Bondy.....he's just not a Rain fan so that's why he's downing K-music.

I agree. And their English is clearer, too, there I have to agree with Luv.
Despite that I listen more to J-Pop. I had a little collection of Korean, Chinese and some other Asian songs, but then my computer broke... ;_; I'm just more familiar with Japanese artists.

I used to be a J-Pop only girl, but now thanks to SE7EN and Rain I've fallen into K-Pop. I don't listen to much, but I love it.

I like J-Pop infinitely more than K-Pop. K-"Pop" is usually just bland R&B that just does not appeal to me. When there are great artists like Lee Jung Hyun and Younha I love K-Pop, but there don't seem to be many of them.

I love both equally. I find that J-Pop tends to have better female artists, whereas K-Pop tends to have better male artists (vocal-wise). This doesn't apply to all artists, but is just a trend I've noticed.

I listen to both. I buy a lot of J-pop and own a lot of CDs and DVDs.

I listen to a lot of K-pop on internet radio and there are a few good K-pop shows on TV. The Japanese internet radio stations are mostly anime music, which I don't care too much for.
