Amuro Namie (安室奈美恵) is a Japanese "Hip-Pop" (Hip-Hop / Pop) artist from Okinawa. She debuted in an eurobeat group called the SUPER MONKEYS comprised of her and her classmates from the Okinawa Actors' School in 1992 with the single "Koi no Cute Beat / Mister U.S.A.". Amuro became the leader of the group, and found success after their cover of "TRY ME ~Watashi wo Shinjite~", which peaked at #8. In 1996, Amuro switched to avex trax and debuted with the single "Body Feels EXIT", with her first avex album selling over 3.3 million copies. Her biggest single, the ballad "CAN YOU CELEBRATE?", was the top single of 1997. After marriage and personal tragedy, Amuro continued to adopt a more R&B/hip-hop based style of music. Amuro has approximately sold 35,000,000 copies in Japan.

^ My thoughts exactly.

I don't like "Yeah-Oh" as much as "WILD" but it's definitely her best song (along with "Higher") since PAST<FUTURE's release imo.

I'm really hyped for this release. Both songs sound so promising. She's got a pretty impressive collection of tracks already for an upcoming album. Honestly at this point I wouldn't mind another compilation, Id hate to see the next album without songs like fight together, get myself back again and sit wait etc.

As for me, to be deeply honest, the song is so so so so good becuz it got nothing cute & no drama into it, it's just simply Namie-ish.
It's exactly the kind of song that made me a Namie's fan back then in 2003(like So Crazy/ALARM), and also exactly the song that when someone asks me what kind of artist Namie Amuro is, i would show 'em without any hesitation.

I had the "YEAH-OH" PV playing at work on my phone and one of my coworkers walked by and looked at it and said, "JENNIFER LOPEZ!?".

I slapped her.

She said it was because all she saw was all of this hair swinging around.

It's more along the lines of Vidal Sassoon being just one more reason as to why Namie had to add volume to her hair to make it look as thick and luscious as possible.

Don't forget, they were trying to sell a product after all. Some of it was added in Digitally as well, ergo the "Dr." and "MY LOVE" Commercials.

I quite like the new single. Go Round is wonderful, it has a very strong chorus in my opinion. I've listened to YEAH-OH once, and while I definitely enjoyed, for some reason I have no desire to ever listen to it again.
