Newbie looking for albums

Hey, I registered here a while back, but lost the link to here. Just found it. But, I was wondering. Where's a good place to get Ayu albums? I was told by one person to try YesAsia.com, but someone else said they only sell bootlegs. I'm not much for bootlegs if I can get the actual album. Thanks.

Yesasia should do you fine, they don't sell bootlegs in general, maybe the odd item once in a while, but the 99% of their stuff is authentic.

Purchase over $50US and you get free shipping with Yesasia, and they also offer Overseas version in addition to Japan version.

I've never had a problem with Yesasia and they tend to be the most competitive price-wise.
They're a reputable company and when they offer bootlegs I think it's for completeness of range rather than to rip people (and Ayu) off. They're just fulfilling demand from hardcore fans who want to collect everything.

If you're buying DVDs, confirm the region coding is compatible with your player, as much of their stock is from Hong-Kong rather than Japan.

And if you do get stuff from them, use the link found at the bottom of all AHS pages. It doesn't cost you more, and AHS gets a small cut for referring you.

There's also eBay, but you'd have to keep a keen eye cause some sellers there sell bootlegs despite the many times they've been reported as selling fake items.

Okay! Thanks! YesAsia's the only place that sells stuff for regular prices, and someone said that's because they're bootlegs. lol. So, I shall now go buy all I can of Ayu stuff!

definitely yesasia. i woudlnt say u have to ever worry about bootlegs. lol. but DEFINITELY use the AHS links and i wouldnt recommend ebay, that site has many bootlegs.

Or... you could get your local retailers to order for you. I'm not sure if the ones over there would do so for you though, perhaps you need to get to know 'em first.

Anyway thats how I get my CDs, well mostly.

Actually, I've tried that. When I ask if they can order an Ayu album for me, they're like "....Who's Ayumi Hamasaki?" lol. And it's not on any of their computers. I have the same problem with some other bands I'm in to. I'll do YesAsia. Through the link from the boards. ^_^

YesAsia is good - I've only bought official Avex products from them. Buying overseas versions is cheaper, though. It's a good service, with good delivery. I've no complaints about it.

I've only ordered from them once, because of money constraints, and they pulled through just fine for me. Just be careful that if you DO get a Japan version, it might take them a while to "locate it". (I had to wait a week for them to find the Japan versions of MOON and Cruise Records 1995-2000, since those were the only versions of those albums that they had)

But yes, they are good. Once they got a hold of everything, it only took them 4 days to get it to me, and it was PACKAGED. I mean REALLY packaged. It was in a box with lots of bubble stuff. ^_^! That was just like an extra present, truly. XD There wasn't a scratch on any of cases, and everything was accounted for.

But anyway, if you want Duty you'll have to go to CDJapan. YA has had it, "tempoarily out of stock" (both versions) since forever. You might be also to find some elusive singles on CDJ that you can't find on YA. But I've never ordered from them, so I don't know.
