I wanted to add a picture for my sig, but if I upload it to tripod so that I can put it in the sig all it shows is a tripod symbol. Is there anyway I can upload the image to AHS similar to how you can upload custom avatars?

No. But you can use some kind of image hosting. (Apple pics, Art up roar, photobucket)
For sigs I recommend photobucket.

Tripod isn't great for remote linking, nor is Geocities. You can try one of the following:

http://mywebpage.netscape.com (if you have an AIM name, you're already registered)
http://freehomepages.com (I believe they give you 50MB and lots of bandwidth)

Alternately, there's a hack to upload signatures, but I think it's best to upload them to your own site instead of using space on AHS.

I'm using

1. photobucket
2. sony image station and
3. mywebpage.netscape.com

to upload all siggy, images and avatar.

My opinion :-

I personally reckon Photobucket, as the page is organised tt u can create ur own photo album & folders . It supports file size up to 250KB only. So u can't upload better quality animated GIF file. U may consider Mywebpage for uploading animated GIF files.

Mywebpage netscape can support 20MB free space for images only, it allows 1 MB per upload.

Sony image station was good last time. Due to down time, i have swift my preference to photobucket. So i only used imagestation for creation of photo gallery .

Not exactly; I've used netscape to store not just images, but videos, mp3s, zip files and other things with no hassle. The only time it's gone down is when the bandwidth for the day is used up, but it renews itself daily.

It's true that it's only 20MB, but you can use it to store more than just images (provided that you stay within the 1MB file limit), so using programs like HJSplit come in handy when you want to store larger files.
