浜崎あゆみの通算36枚目のシングル「fairyland c／w alterna」が17.2万枚を売上げ、初登場首位を獲得した。
浜崎あゆみのシングル首位は、2002年4月発売の「Free＆Easy」から11作連続、通算では23作目となり、シングル首位獲得数記録で、Mr.Childrenに並び歴代3位タイに。女性アーティスト歴代 1位、総合2位の松田聖子との差は、「2作」

Yeah, me too! I just hope that fairyland will keep selling well the next weeks. And that this single will break 400.000 .

wow congrats ayu!!! was expecting something closer to 200,000 sales about three weeks ago but with the competition she is facing this week (tons of popular artists have singles out this week, may it be their first second or third week in the market), this is still great! It beat Step you/Is this Love's sales by quite a huge margin and her previous single didn't have as much competiton to face as this one.
And she already has the record for most top 10 singles by a female artist!!! Yay!

Ayumi Hamasaki's 36th single [fairyland c/w alterna] sold 172,000 copies, which aquired the first place in the chart.
Ayumi Hamasaki's top no. 1 singles, including april 2002's [Free & Easy] with continuesly 11 singles after that, a total of 23 singles got the no 1 place in chart. she lines up with Mr.Children on the 3rd place. She is only 2 single behind Kiyoko Matsuda,松田聖子, and ayumi is in the 2nd place if counting only women singers. [refer to chart 1]
As for the [TOP10 Singles] chart, counting from 17th august 1998's single [Trust] (no. 9 in chart), she has total of 34 singles that is in the top 10 single chart, pulling out Kiyouko Koizumi,小泉今日子, making her the first woman to score this result among women singers in history.
