KAT-TUN???

I just wonder - what's so special about them? It seems that J-girls are dying when they see them.. I find miyavi, Gackt or HYDE more addicting. I saw their live of Real Face and I was more laughing than anything else I'd just like to know the secret.

I like them. I think they have nice voices, compared to most boy bands out today. It doesn't hurt that I think they're cute, either. XD!

i like KAT-TUN too. my friend got me really into them. :3

but i think it's the Johnny's Ent factor. those JE boys are really popular nowadays. they've been around for 5 years, so they have a really strong fanbase even before they debut. they're really no stranger to the entertainment business, it's just Johnny Kitagawa decided to let them release music right now.

also, 5 out of the 6 members have been in J-Dramas too. Kame was recently in "Nobuta wo Produce." The theme song "Seishun Amigo" was sung by him and Yamashita Tomohisa (of another JE group NEWS) & it sold 1.5 million copies.

Didn't they came from Korea? Kinda like SE7EN?

Anyway. Girls like them either because they are "handsome" or something else. LOL.

nope, all the boys are Japanese. =)

true. i do notice them for their looks, but some are really talented. i know Kame, Jin, Ueda, & Koki have taken part in writing and composing songs for KAT-TUN. (most use pen names though; Kame goes by K2 & Koki is JOKER. kinda like how Ayu uses CREA, LOL!)

they're great actors too. Kame won Best Supporting Actor for Gokusen 2 and Best Actor for Nobuta wo Produce.

I just searched for their profiles on Wikipedia and I get confused about who's who... LOL. They all have long hair (except one bald guy), and they look the same to me somehow (except the bald guy again cuz he's so distinctive... what is his name btw cuz I believe he had long hair as well before).

I'm gonna download real face and see if they are really that talented

XD the bald guy's name is Koki Tanaka. he's the rapper in the group.

most JE groups start as backdancers. KAT-TUN was only meant to be a backdancing group for Koichi Domoto (of KinKi Kids) but they gained popularity and Koichi let them go.

if anyone was wondering about their name, it's initials from the members last names: Kamenashi Kazuya, Akanishi Jin, Taguchi Junnosuke, Tanaka Koki, Ueda Tatsuya, Nakamaru Yuichi.

i could post pictures or whatever if anyone's interested.

yeah... your friend must have messed up about KAT-TUN (and yeah my cousin's friend told her that ayu is from korea as well... baka). From what I've seen in the musicstation talk, they've been in JE performance (as bgd dancers) since like 11 or 12 years old. Including before training, I assumed they joined JE when they're really really young (8 - 10 years old). It's unlikely that the parents would send them from Korea to Japan just to hope that they could be popular in JE... rite...?

Next generation of SMAP? Both are of different style, how can it be? (But well...they are considered having the most potiential to become the next Super-group after SMAP and KINKI KIDS). Seems like lots of people mixed them up with DBSK! They are TOTALLY different!! My friend also mixed them up because she said that one of the guy look like Junno....... -_-??
Eventhough I am a fan but I have to say that Real Face is a cool song but the PV is funny (the later part when they are at the studio and so do their performance, the cheoreography sucks), but don't backaway just because of that LOL (my fren does...). They are really talented, IMO, they have best singing skill in JE, and they do write their own songs, especially Ueda and Jin. I never like any group from JE, because I think eventho they dance well and act good but their sing horribly, until KAT-TUN. Maybe it's because I have been watching Shounen Club for ages and finally got affected

P.S: I want to make a KAT-TUN thread, but I am not sure if anyone care to reply the thread so KAT-TUN fans or Johnny's Ent. fans, what do u think?

I didn't read the last paragraph... LOL. Anywayz, you should make it. I'm sure you can grab at least 6 to 7 people attention to the thread in the beginning. Even tho it sounds a bit small, it will grow into a bigger thread (or community) eventually .
