There's a lot of Cookie Monster bands....

"There's a lot of Cookie Monster bands, if you will; you can't understand what they're saying anyway," "It's kind of no different than that. If the music's real strong, if the emotion's there, if you feel that passion and get your blood boiling, it really doesn't matter if you don't understand."
- Taken from Chiappardi who was on the Team to get Dir en Grey with Korn

For me this is so true when it comes to Asian Music. People ask me all the time why I listen to Asian Music "You can't understand them" they always say. Well i always make them read this quote becuase its so true. Asian music really brings out emotions...in some songs u can hear the tears in their voice or hear the passion. Ive only heard a handful of American songs that do that. Does anyone else believe in this quote...

This quote is basically saying like all the Rock bands that they only scream or rap bands where they speak to fast; u cant hear them let alone understand them...so why 'diss' people that have branched out and tried a new culture in asian music. The concept of screaming rock music or rap music is just the same as asian...you never understand but you do like it right? ^^

I know there are alot of threads kinda like this..but i wanted to share this quote where everyone would read it

^ I think "Cookie Monster" means like "crazy gibberish". It's true, sometimes you can't understand a word Kyo sings.. But it's all good<3

People tell me: "Is that Chinese" "Do you even understand" "It's not english? I KNEW IT!!" But, I like music because of the music. The emotion.

Princess of Roses said everything I wanted to say

THis is also true I think for artists like ayumi. That's what blew me away with a lot of j-pop in general. The ability to carry emotion through music, without having to understand more than a few words. I've listened to some chinese music and other asian/african pieces, but I think that in general j-pop is best at what mentioned above..
