But anyways, everyone has given you a nice selection of some of the popular J-R&B artist. Foxxi MisQ, DOUBLE, LISA, SOULHEAD, MINMI(reggae), Michico, AI, and Sowelu(pre 24-7 material). A few other artist nobody metioned:
JAMOSA - If you like hard edged R&B with an excellent vocalist.
SATOMI' - Got 2 luv this girl. Right now her music is a mix of Pop/R&B but I'd highly recommend her 2 U.
HI-D - My favorite guy in J-R&B. Smooth vocals and GREAT material.
ARIA - Like JAMOSA, she has a VERY soulful voice.
Asami Izawa - She's a mix between R&B and Pop. Good material.
Chiori - New artist. Nice soulful voice and material.
Miliyah - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Young R&B artist with a beautiful voice, and produces her own material.
Emi Hinouchi - An m-flo girl. An average voice but her material is great.
Eliana - She releases kinda slow but she's a good pop/R&B artist.
Kaori Natori - Nice voice and a mix of pop and R&B songs.
KAZAMI - Nice soulful voice and material.
May Nakabayashi - If you like BoA, you'll like this girl. Nice mix of pop and R&B material.
May J. - New artist. She has a nice voice and style. Released a good mini album about 2 months ago.
MISIA - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Very strong voice and excellent material, ranging from power ballads to hip hop.
SAKURA - Mix of pop,R&B,and folk music. Nice soulful voice and interesting style.
YOKO BLAQSTONE - Besides DOUBLE, one of the oldest R&B singers in Japan. Has released two EXCELLENT R&B albums.
Tyler - Been around since 1999, but hasn't released anything since 2004. Average voice but great R&B material.
Yumi Shizukusa - Mix of R&B/Pop/Rock music. Nice voice.
HIROMI - GREAT newcomer. Has released a lot of material online but yet to release a single or album.
Zoey - Mix between pop and R&B. Interesting sound.
YU.KI.KO - Indies artist. Deep, soulful voice. Has released one single.
EMYLI - Another m-flo girl. Nice voice. Material is a mix of R&B and pop.

Some groups I'd recommend are Bennie K,m-flo,Exile,NUDYLINE, and YA-KYIM.
