New single LIFE & DVD FILM LOTUS VI



Nakashima Mika will be releasing a new single titled LIFE (a preview can be heard here) and a new PV collection, FILM LOTUS VI on August 22. It’ll be used as the theme song to the drama adaptation of popular manga Life, starring Fukuda Saki and Kitano Kii. The B-side, IT’S TOO LATE, is currently being used in the CM for kanebo “KATE”.

The title song is written by Mika herself and composed by COLDFEET. According to CDJapan, the single is described as a “powerful bottom beat, upper sound, and strong message to push you through the hard times.” The single will come in the CD-only format and the first press extra will be a pictured disc.

FILM LOTUS VI is Mika’s sixth PV collection and will contain the videos for My Sugar Cat up to her most recent, Sunao na Mama plus making-of footage.

Mika debuted with the single STARS in 2001. Although already well known for a number of years, Mika’s popularity shot up even more after starring as Oosaki Nana in the live action adaptation of the manga Nana. She released as first single under as Nana (using the pseudonym NANA starring MIKA NAKASHIMA) which became the #1 highest selling single of 2005, selling over 440,000 copies. She then reprised her role as Nana in Nana 2 in late 2006 and released another single, Hitoiro, and an album, THE END. LIFE will be Mika’s first release since her long-awaited fourth album YES was released in March of this year.

i've been waiting for a new single.
"LIFE" sounds really nice :]]
hopefully it'll be more sucessful than her recent stuff like "ALL HANDS TOGETHER" and "My Sugar Cat".
but on the contrare, "YES" is my second favorite album of hers :]]

I dont like "Yes"...
I love some songs like Yogoreta Hana, but for me was the worst album of hers compairing with LOVE (I just love that album) and MUSIC.
Well i hope this single will be good, cause i hate Sunao no mama xD
