[2007] Who Do You Think Is the 'New-Age Princess' of J-POP ?
There's alot of new coming jpop female singers emerging in the recent years and they are having good response from the public. Who's ur favorite?

I picked ayaka, because that girl really has TALENT!! What a strong and powerful voice *_* I really think it makes her stand out from the rest, so I picked her ^__^

I agree with CatGirl I really like ayaka, I'm not sure if she why she isn't mention in most polls I've seen because she is a really good artist IMO. I really don't like any of the other new singers that much, my second choice would probably be YUI.

Ai Otsuka

Ai Otsuka isn't a "new" artist. She had three successful albums and one best album and her peak was in 2005-2006, so she isn't the "New Princess" of Jpop.
Erika? Mmm... no. I mean, she is a good actress and all, but her first single wasn't exactly MEGA successful. I can see her first album doing OK, but she won't be the Princess of J-pop. Yuna Ito had a successful album, but her singles aren't big hits. So I say it's between ayaka, Angela Aki and YUI. ayaka had, by far, the most successful album and YUI has the most consistent single sales, so I say it's between these two. |

Yuna Ito, forever. She's the most new artist that I like more. Her songs are fantastic. ayaka is too lovely, but I prefer Yuna.

As for now, YUI or ayaka seems like the greatest contestor. But it'll be more exciting to see who avex will pimp once they finished with koda, she'll definetly beat any of these. Avex always seems to end up with the top female.

i'm not speaking of ai otsuka or koda kumi cuz they been in the industry for years already...those artists i mentioned only debuted 1 or 2 years or even less.....i'm surprised that there're still ppl who never heard of them >_<;

I voted for angela aki, but I also like Yuna Ito. Both of them have great voices! In terms of sales the new princess would be Ayaka, but I don't see anything impressive about her.

new-age is a different genre of music, maybe you should rename the thread to not confuse people?
they all have their own different music genre...it's hard to decide XP |

there's why i '........' it...new-age doesn't mean the genre of music and 'princess' doesn't mean they must look like one >_< I think u guys should know what i meant in the title...
