Super friends spirit (Brazil)
Since I enjoyed the concert so much. I´ll put some information for u guys, and I hope to share experiences too^^ Do u have theese kind of event in your country?
![]() What is Super Friends Spirits? The Super Friends Spirits takes place every year as part of the Anime Friends, the biggest anime and manga convention in America. Since 2003, great singers from the world of animesongs (tokusatsu and anime themes) come to Brazil to perform at live concerts, where they are always surprised with the energy of the Brazilian audience, as well as their passion for the series and songs. Check here all the artists that performed at the Super Friends Spirits, and also get information about the next editions of this great party of animesongs. 2003 The first edition of the Anime Friends surprised from the beginning, for having as its main attraction the presence of Japanese artists. A lot of people did not believe it was true, but at June, 29, 2003, they arrived: Hironobu Kageyama, one of the greatest singers and composers of animesongs from many series, like Dragon Ball Z, Changeman, Maskman and others; Akira Kushida, singer of themes like Jiraiya, Jiban, Sharivan, Jaspion and others; and the actor Hiroshi Watari, that acted as the main character in Sharivan and Spielvan, besides playing Boomerang, partner of Jaspion. At the stage of the Anime Friends, from 3 to 6 of July, in São Paulo, Kageyama and Kushida made the audience sing together themes of big hit series in Brazil. It was the start of the Super Friends Spirits, an event that who participated won't ever forget! 2004 In 2004, the Anime Friends already figured as the most expected event of anime of the year. There was great speculation about which artists would come for the event. Hironobu Kageyama was back and brought some new friends with him: Masaaki Endou, with his powerful voice, singer of Cybaster and Abaranger themes; Masami Okui, the first woman to perform in the Super Friends Spirits, singer of Slayers and Yu-Gi-Oh! themes, and, with Kageyama and Endou, member of JAM Project, the most famous vocal group of animesongs in the world; and Eizou Sakamoto, former member of JAM, that by that time had returned to sing with the band ANIMETAL, playing famous anime and tokusatsu themes in a heavy metal version. Besides Eizou Sakamoto and Masami Okui made everyone sing with them, Kageyama and Endou performed a special acoustic concert, only seen in a tour they made in Japan. This was one of the most exciting moments of the Anime Friends 2004. 2005 Without doubt, Super Friends Spirits 2005 was really exciting. For the first time the show was performed away from São Paulo. The fans of Rio de Janeiro witnessed an amazing show of Akira Kushida, back to Brazil for the first time, since the 2003 edition; and the return of Takayuki Miyauchi, singer of Winspector, Solbrain, Kamen Rider Black RX and other themes, to the stages, after some health problems. The energy of Brazilian attendance motivated him to return, and with his unmatched voice, he thrilled the fans. On the next week, Hironobu Kageyama and Yoshiki Fukuyama, member of the JAM Project and singer of Macross 7 themes, arrived at São Paulo. Fukuyama's energy inspired everyone present in the Anime Friends 2005, and alongside Kageyama, Kushida and Miyauchi, they excited the crowd. 2006 The Super Friends Spirits reaches its fourth edition and, unfortunately, Kageyama couldn't take part this time. Masaaki Endou was back and brought two new guests: Hiroshi Kitadani, also a member of JAM Project and singer of the opening theme of the anime One Piece and other songs from anime and tokusatsu; and Yumi Matsuzawa, who composed and performed the theme of the first season of Saint Seiya: Hades, and songs from Martian Successor Nadesico and Jibaku-kun (known as Self Destructing Man in the USA). An impressive concert, as much as our guests voices, which we'll certainly miss. Endou and Kitadani performed songs of JAM Project and, all the guests together, closed the show singing "Pegasus Fantasy", the opening theme of Saint Seiya. AND FINALLY This year, the Anime Friends celebrates its 5th anniversary, with a big party and, as always, lots of guests! For the Super Friends Spirits 2007 were invited SIX artists, being four of them the first time they come to Brazil: The first confirmed guest was Nobuo Yamada, famous for singing the opening theme of the Saint Seiya: Pegasus Fantasy, today considered an anthem by the anime fans of the entire world. Also known as NoB, he sang the opening theme of GouGou Sentai Boukenger, a Super Sentai 2006 series. Another prime confirmed guest for this year is Ichirou Tomita, known as MoJo. Singer of Super Sentai themes like Battle Fever J, Dai Sentai Goggle Five, Kagaku Sentai Dynaman and another tokusatsu series like Seiun Kamen Machineman, MoJo is a long-awaited attraction to the Brazilian fans. Besides NoB and MoJo, the Super Friends Spirits will have the presence of Kouji Wada, singer of the main themes of the series Digimon, like "Butterfly" (Digimon Adventure), "Biggest Dreamer" (Digimon Tamers) and other big hits. Since Wada did a hiatus on his career in Japan, we didn't have news from him in Brazil, and he coming to Super Friends Spirits was a great surprise for the fans. Innovating more and more, the Super Friends Spirits brings the singer Yoko Ishida too. Famous outside Japan, mainly in the USA, Ishida is known for singing mostly of the famous anime and tokusatsu themes in Eurobeat rhythm, followed by the ParaPara, dance style very practiced in Japan that is starting to make success in other countries. Besides that, Ishida sings the main theme of "Ah, My Goddess", "Sailor Moon R", "Sailor Moon S" and others. Being here in 2004 and 2006, Masaaki Endou is back to join those amazing singers. The "young lion of the animesongs" (animesongs no wakashishi), way he is called by the fans, will sing his new success songs and the songs that made him famous in this world. Completing this great party, Hironobu Kageyama is back, after a year of absence in Brazilian lands. The JAM Project's leader will join to NoB, MoJo, Kouji Wada, Yoko Ishida and his friend Masaaki Endou to make this year's event the best outside Japan. I was in this last one.... Yoko is amazin.... ok... I dunno if its ok to post this here but I´m so happy....I thought maybe it was a good idea to share this feelins with you guys^^ edited: we got the info. that 2007´s edition had more than 30k ppl in the concert and more than 200k in the convention (6 days)
