i thought there were already news that say that ayu was the highest revenue maker in 2007? i bet in 2 years time.. koda kumi will be overtaken by someone else.

The prev one was between the period of jan 2007 to november 2007. This oricon ranking is ranged between dec of 2006 to dec of 2007.

Shame for kuu the difference is so LOW, but at least good for ayu ^-^", one is already good.
kuu has a lot more stuff... I fear it will be kuu's last year at the top or maybe even 2nd on that list I guess... hopefully not, and I hope ayu will keep getting on top 1-5 there.

Looks like 7 million legal downloads really don't worth that much >_> where's hikki?

She doesn't count for this year because she didn't release an album^^ Yes she released a single but that doesn't really count if you think about it o.o; Koda and Ayumi released a lot that's why they're up there^^ Congrats to them! Especially Ayu! xD

ayu didn't release a lot of stuff actually =P divided compilation album and 2 singles isn't a lot...

i wouldn't be suprised if Koda's #1 again next year...Michiru outsold both Ayu and Kuu by a wide margin but still lost in terms of overall revenue b/c avex jacks up their prices on everything.

Actually next year EXlLE will probrably wind up at #1 thanks to EL's huge success
