How would you perceive Ayu if you didn't know her or her music?

I know the title doesn't make sense but I want lotsa people's opinions on this!
Think of yourself like you don't know anything about ayu or her music and someone showed you a picture of her, what would you guess she was like or what her music sounded like?

I find it pretty interesting that she looks so glamourous and stuff in most of her pictures yet she likes her guitar riffs and thoughtful lyrics, her music has substance

Everyone's different avatars and sigs of ayu made me think about it, she never looks the same *expect from that time where she had that horrific long hair that looked like she couldn't decide whether she wanted it curly or straight for about 2368925 months xD* and her music kind of.. evolves? with her fashion!

So chyeah.. opnions people!

That depends on which image... Marionette screencaps would give me a heavy metal feeling (J-heavy metal, ew xD), talkin' 2 myself rock and stuff like Ladies Night pop. I dunno, it really depends on the image! ~ But the one from Rurutia's ^ avatar, I'd say pop and gorgeous ballads like Together When... <3

But anyways like stated before depends on which era/style Ayu would have on that pic/whatever.... But mostly she looks like really classy and diva-ish and I'd think she's an R'n'B star or something.

her style is always changing, including her fashion and her music. if i didnt know her or her music and was looking at her for a first time, id probably think to myself "looks like the madonna of japan"

I don't think that's insulting at all. Madonna is such a great idol, it would be amazing if Ayu were like that.

This question is very difficult to answer, because I already know things about her. Usually when given a picture of people I don't know I just think, "They're pretty" or "They're terrible looking." In this case, she would be pretty.

didnt mean it to be. im not a fan of madonna but i respect her idol status here. no pop star in the U.S. or probably worldwide has ever obtained the fame and success that madonna has had due to her ever changing style of fashion and music much like ayu. figured it would be a good analogy

When I first saw a picture of Ayu, without knowing a single thing about her, I thought she was a model. I was really surprised to know that she was a singer.

Really depends on what picture you show, because she looks like a completely different person depending on when the picture was taken, during what style. If you compare how she looks around CDL0506/Startin' and around JEWEL/Secret promotion, she looks so different.

But if I saw her with her trademark blonde hair, I'd assume she was a model or an actress. Don't know why.

When Madonna does that stuff, she does it with thought and real true meaning. No harm is meant to come out of it. I didnt really pay attention at that part of the concert, but i think she was probably trying to represent the pain and suffering the children suffer, like Jesus or something, im not sure/ dont really about the true meaning of it/ or Jesus XD

Ha ha, that's why Madonna's so great, because she can step out of the box and do these things, like Ayu with her fashion statements. But that's understandable that you don't like Madonna.

When the first time I heard her songs and seen her in T.V. or covers of a Japanese magazines, Ayu-chan reminds me of it... in much better image with no overflowing scandals attached to her.
