ayu's voice is changing in this 10 years?

in AFSFXX her voice was totally like an innocent girl
and sometime it was annoying to me
because its high-pitched... well IMO
example: poker face

in i am and rainbow era her voice started to change into mature one
example: evolution, M

in memorial address and MY STORY era her voice is much stronger, she started to learn how to vibrato and she used very dolly sound~
example: CAROL, HONEY

but in M(U), secret and GUILTY her voice changed dramaticly... she almost use "shouting" and the vibrato is getting more frequece and sometime i'm quite annoyed wz that
example: MW (the yeah... yeah...), sotsugyou shashin in CDL

is it really ayu changed her voice? (naturally i mean)

Of cause her voice has changed. Peoples vocal range changes as they get older.

I wouldn't say her voice is -changing- per say. She's just using it in different ways, because she's learnt how to. Though people's voices do change when they get older, what you're talking about is also because she's just singing diffently.

Yeah, but you can listen to songs like rainy day, JEWEL and glitter, and hear that the 'deepness' isn't a permanent thing.

ASFXX and MW are two different songs that need to come across a different way. So, yeah, MW is bolder, and ASFXX is kind of coy... I guess it's better to say that you don't like how bold she's become?

I love the vibrato. Anyways, I wouldn't necessarily say 'changed' but like rikku said, she's using her voice differently. At the start it honestly sounded forced and painful (in a sense heh) even though those lives before he actual music career proved that she could sing well and not in that forced high pitch she created for herself. Overtime I guess she kind of broke out of it and I honestly believe that she has matured and that's all there is to it. (Maybe some change in there too, perhaps the high pitch isn't that easy to reach anymore hahaha!)

I love Ayu's voice now. It's so deep and thick sounding, makes for much more dramatic songs.

I agree. Her nasally voice annoyed me a lot but I'm getting used to it. I just hate the manamana choruses she does like in SURREAL. I think GUILTY sounds much better with her deep voice. The only thing that does annoy me though is that she seems to use the deep voice over and over, even on her older songs when singing live. I think SURREAL sounds better nasally than deep but she performed it deep on her most current CDL concert.

but yeah, voices change. Hikki's voice sounds completely different on her earlier albums than on her current ones.

I prefer her voice now than her chipmunk voice when she first debuted.

Me too.

Her voice "changing" is a combination of getting older and getting more experienced in how to use her voice.

I liked both her earlier voice and her voice now. The inexperience and innocence in her voice in ASFXX helped gave the album some of it's charm. But I wouldn't want her to sing like that for something like GUILTY so yeah, the deep voice is good.

There's times when she used her vibrato to full potential and i liked it very much..and sometimes she tends to overuse it =/

Anyway it's quite obvious that her voice had gone deeper compared to when she just debuted..but still, most of the time ayu is still able to handle live with ease.

Ayu's voice is so much more mature now than it was in the beginning, of course. I love her voice where it is at now, it makes those emotional/dark songs so much more interesting to listen to for me.

It's not just because she gets older, it's also because they expected her to sing like she used to do and now she has changed her marketing style/voice/clothing to what the people want/expect from it now.

There are new young teenage/early 20 artists on the market now who can do the high-pitched thing to please those crowds.

You're all forgetting that she's now completely deaf in her left ear? Think that might contribute? lol
