[article] Peace-Loving Pop Rock Duo’s Upcoming U.S. Debut

Excerpt:
Quote:
This year, backed by Los Angeles-based independent label HackTone Records, Love Psychedelico will enter the US market with a collection of 13 handpicked songs. “We’ve seen the warm reception young America has had for Japanese fashion, film and culture, and it felt like the right time to take our music to the US,” says Kumi. “If it changes some preconceptions and brings the world together a little bit, then we’ve done what we set out to do.”

I love how it says young America has had a warm reception for Japanese things, but that's typically the anime nerds (rarely does it seem anyone likes J-Pop). I doubt they're going to be successful, especially since they aren't already an established act in Japan.

Wow, that's great news. But, as bondingo said, they probably won't find much success. There's already a bunch of bands trying this out and joining on large US tours with American bands who aren't successful yet...

I know why, in articles like these, is it never mentioned that they do have fans, rather than people are interested because they're associated with an anime or something,
