There's a Asian mall called Mitsuwa around Arlington Heights. Look up the website. There's an Asian grocery store, a travel agency, a food court, a bakery, a 100yen store (at least there used to be...), a liquor store, I think the video game/anime store/arcade's still there, book and magazine store (that also sells Asian CDs and some DVDs), and video rental store, and some smaller stores.
It's really neat! I highly suggest going there! I got the Moments CD+DVD single the day it came out there! ![]()

From I-90 towards Rockford (if leaving from Chicago) and get off at the Arlington Heights exit. Head north for less than a mile and it's at the intersection of Arlington Heights Rd and Algonquin Rd.
They closed Asahiya and replaced it with a new bookstore that doesn't offer as much of a selection. They still have the most current and best selling though. If they're at all like the previous bookstore you can order CDs from them. It takes about 2 weeks or so. The anime/video game/arcade closed a long time ago. Thank goodness. That para para machine had a very odd crowd surrounding it at all times. and the 100yen store is gone too. They just used those areas to make the seating for the food court larger (with tacky tables mind you). I'm sure there are small places but as far as used CDs I don't have any suggestions. I would definitely suggest you check out the bakery. Delicious goods there :] __________ Sorry, I missed the Korean part. There are a few Korean bookstores that sell CDs. I know of one, I believe, on Lincoln and........ I don't know lol. It's northside Chicago. Don't be fooled by what is still called Korean Town. The Koreans moved out of there. It's more populated by Mexicans now. There are more Korean stores in farther northeast. I know there is a place called H-Mart but I don't believe they sell CDs... Wait I take that back, they do but its more of the tradition listening. They also sell movies there. Sidenote: If you want to go to a great Korean BBQ place try San Soo Gab San on Western and Berwyn. It's delicious. Photos by me: ![]() ![]()
