Maybe this album might do better than expected, but meanwhile we should stay at low expectations that if it will surprise we will be extremely happy though I never thought this album is going to do half bad.

It's a poll that's ask 400 people for their interest in the release.
It's made for predicting how well the release will do. It has nothing to do with sales but it can indicate if the release will have high or low sales.

400 is such a small sample of people though that often its not a reliable sales indicator. It really just depends how many people that they randomly interviewed on the day that happen to already be Namie fans or Ayu fans - so sometimes Ninki is very off. The only really good indicator is what the first day sales are. I'm sure it will have a big first week, but I'd be extremely surprised if it sold more than Best Fiction overall. I'm prepared for a surprise though. I think the price of the compilation will be the main thing that entices people since most people that like her I'm sure have already bought either A Best 2 or A Best 1 or both. And only hardcore fans would be interested in the a-nation stuff. So I'm just not sure why the casual buyer would need to get the album, other than the price.

There are some occassions where they hugely mistake but that's mainly when they give some releases really low interest points and at the end they are doing better than it seemed in the poll.

Well the opposite of that happens as well, at least with the last few Shimatani singles. As their NINKI was quite promising and they all flopped XD. And it's nice that her NINKI is bigger than Namie's though atm, I can't really imagine this selling more than BEST FICTION (though It would be great if it did XD).

Yeah that's why I said mainly since more incidents happen when flop polled releases do better but yeah it goes for the other way as well of course!
That's why I also said no to expect anything XD

There is still the 50% chance it won't do THAT great so we shouldn't expect anything.
Just wait and see, expecting it's either making you dissapointed at the end or really surprised for the positive ^^.
