the more popular you become the more haters you get too.
it's not because you are nr. 1 all the time, the whole country loves you. it could of course be because ayu gets exposure all the time for ten years now. could be tiring. also... a poll done by female japanese people ![]() |

Lets look at it this way: on a list of popularity, Ayu would be WAYYY higher up in ranking.
Which shows that Ayu's proportion and fans and haters isn't balanced. There are more people that like her or are neutral than there are people who hate her. ![]()

Shouldn't be shocked at seeing her on lists like these. As popularity goes up, so does the amount of haters. And it really is nice to see that shes actually ranked quite low on a list like this. and WOAH Kuu is skyrocketing there haha.

Which silly people came up with such a silly list. But at least we know she's also the most popular japanese female solo singer since the last decade so whatever

Although most say they once liked her and that they still enjoy a few of her older songs, the majority of Japanese people I meet say the same things over and over about Ayu:
1. Ayu is over. She's lost her touch, her spark. She's worn out and embarassing now. 2. Ayu is fake. She had her eyes done and sets a bad example for self image. 3. Ayu is such a diva. She's *****y and an over-the-top control freak. She's reached that level of fame where the country is split on her. Half hate her, half love her, and the middle ground is slim. It just comes with the territory, and it doesn't reflect her as an artist or a person. |

And to be honest, I don't know why people STILL think of Koda Kumi as a sl*t anymore. Nothing she's done since before "BUT" screams sl*t to me... In my opinion, she's toned it down alot. Her dance moves aren't as erotic and even if she's not dressing like a nun, she doesn't dress much out of the realm of "pop-star." I started to realize her change in image when she did the PV for FREAKY entirely dressed, at some parts, in rags xD; |

oh..what was ayu control freak about? http://chinanews.sina.com/ent/2008/0...542765306.html ayu is on the black list here~ people say it's because of her body that made people not like her... the poll is like a poll of black listed spokepersons

^ you don't need to act like Ayu is the only one with those kinds of fans. Ever heard of Britney Spears?
![]() Most people get a bit delusional when talking about their favorite singer.

This is all a personal opinion. Some parts of the documentary of AT07 and CDL07-08 was supposed to show how serious ayu was in putting forward the best concert for her fans at the expense of her dancers and i feel it portrays her in a somewhat negative light. It made her look picky and inconsiderate (i know she teared when addressing the dancers but that aside...). I hope i never treat my subordinates like that. Maybe you could put it down to an asian mentality i guess, being more direct with criticisms and stuff but choreography and stage direction is not her area of specialization. Sometimes, i also feel that her team has no choice but to obey her. They are team AYU after all...
All in all, i rather those parts be left out of the documentary. Why are you airing your behind the scenes linen in it? I prefer past documentaries where they had more random shots but structured in a more comprehensible way. |
