Ayu in kagoshima??
When i went on exchange in Kagoshima, Japan, when I told everyone I was an Ayumi fan they told me a popular legend that Ayumi once was on a Kagoshima TV commercial before she was an actress (I believe for some type of food) and that she lived in Kagoshima for quite some time (she was born in Fukuoka, about 30-40 min away). Anyone know (more) about this rumour and also know about the commercial?

I've heard about this as well. Only can't remember where and now you got me curious as Ayu history interests me a lot. There are some mentions about a TVCM at the following page (found these very quickly, therefore there are probably a lot more info out there):

That's what I was thinking, actually, that it might be the Kasutadon CM. ^^ It seemed like the most likely candidate. (I didn't know the Kasutadon CM was region-specific though. ^^ Learn something new every day!) But I'm sure there are PLENTY more CMs from that era that we've never seen, so it may or may not be what they meant. But it seems likely.
 EDIT: BTW, thanks for the link, Zemus... that's a better copy of the CM than what I have. ^^
