So, finally.. Ayu's got herself a drama tie-up with the summer TV Asahi drama, "Dandy Daddy?".

Ayu's comment from the Dandy Daddy? site translated from Chinese by waterballoon:

It's been a long since I've written a theme song for a TV drama, this time, to be able to receive this invitation (to write Sunrise), I feel really honored.

After reading the script and carefully understanding the feelings of the role played by -the male lead's name-, and through my own understanding, I have written these lyrics.

It's a song that gets everyone to be energized and happy, I hope everyone embraces this summer's memory, and look forward to this song.

Anything imo is fine. We should take what we can get. It's not like Ayu can do a JE one since they generally do their own themes.

It sounds like it's My Boss, My Hero style oriented drama (I mean comedical drama probably) and sorafune/do!do!do! did really well (over 420,000) though nagase himself was featured in that drama too.

There's actually another my boss, my hero type drama that's coming soon too...with the guy from smap and meisa kuroki...was hoping it would be that drama or something...but this is still ok...even though I have no interest in the drama but knowing ayu will have a drama tie-in makes me happy...and thanks to the tie-in, we'll have a preview soon!

That's really surprising. I mean, when was the last time she did a tie-up to a drama? (2003, of course, as noted...) Hopefully the drama can do well on both itself and the upcoming sales of the single, though the release dates are kind of separated by a month...

And by the way, who are the actors/actresses in this show? (Must be Romanized, please...)

Some are: Tachi Hiroshi, Ishiguro Hideo, Minamisawa Nao and Hirayama Aya.
Hideo is popular among the younger crowd,
so him being a cast member will help views
and hopefully help Ayu's sales too.

BTW, the drama is about a widow who is overprotective of his daughter
and he writes bestselling novels.

The whole cast is mostly older people,
the only young ones are Hideo, Aya and Nao.
IMO, they're OK-known actors/actresses.

Like I said, Hideo is the most popular because he was in Gokusen 2&3.
Plus, this is a drama without any Johnnys,
or any other people who are really popular among younger crowd.

I think it might get ratings of like.. 6~10%, overall
which is just.. on the OK level.

Hmmm. I really doubt it'll be popular tbh lol. But well, tie-ins are ALWAYS good. Especially drama tie-ins.

It better be a good drama tho. Otherwise it'll kinda ruin my perception of Sunrise lol.
