Male or Female Vocalists: What is your preference?

Hey there AHS,

Lately I've noticed that my iTunes library is dominated by female artists and bands with female lead vocalists, especially within my J-Pop collection (which is only comprised of female vocalists). So, I was wondering if other people had such a preference?

At the minute, I'm more into female vocalists, out of the 103 artists in my iTunes library, 49 are female-fronted with 9 of them being conventional bands.
35 of them are solo artists.

female

rarely do i listen to a male artists, but there are some

my theory is that i like to sing along with songs and i dont' want to be singing about "your gorgeous eyes, your beautiful hair" etc XD

but i'll listen to any song with a good beat~ it's just that i tend to find better beats in female artists' song~

Female all the way. There are only a few male artists/vocalists I like. (oh hai Gackt).

It's purely for aural aesthetic reasons. That and I just love women.

Female. It's not that I don't like male tracks, but I hardly find many that I really like. Women just seem to make music that I like more than men.

Female overall. Some J-pop male voices are really... annoying. Like, super whiney sounding.

popular male j-pop (like je) is definitely for a female audience, considering most of them can't sing and are just there to make $$$ off their appearance lol.

Female.
I like songs that are sung by men, but I don't have any favorite male vocalists/vocals.

i listen to female's song more because i can sing along with them

almost every male artist has high key in every song, and i cant sing a long with them =X of course, there're exceptional case, i'll still listen if the song sounds really good or the artist has a really good voice (ken hirai , tohoshinki etc)
