Arrow Which CDs online-store is the best so far?

I mean the online store that you can order Japanese CDs, DVDs,etc..

The best one I would say yesasia.com
They don'y charge you if they don't have the CDs in store, even though you have ordered it. And they would give you some special price for you next time to order the CDs from there because you ordered the CDs before they say out of order.

I won't say amazon is the best forever.
They lost my order and charged from my credit card!

The best only store i've used was

cdjapan.jp

They really are a great service, most people would say they are expensive, but to be honest you get what you pay for, and you pay for excellent service. I've not once had a single problem with them, not one.

I try and stay away from yesasia as much as i can, they have mucked up my orders a few times i dont like that.

CDJapan.co.jp is very good. YesAsia has low prices and free shipping, but their service is so-so and their assortment is not very good. CDJapan is much better on those points.

Not yesasia.

They didn't give me bonuses when I ordered an item they listed as in-stock when it wasn't. They didn't even bother to tell me it wasn't even in-stock.

And honestly, the only situation in which they are quick to reply is if you want to add an item to your order and give them more business. They really don't give a damn when they send you a defect or something that fails to meet the product description, because they don't even bother responding. Their packing isn't so impressive neither, they're infamous for crushing jewel cases/disc trays (the part that holds the CD/boxed packaging CDs. And they're slow as...

I don't order from them anymore unless I necessarily need to get an old item they happen to have, a particular overseas version HMV.com.hk don't have for cheaper or for manga. Because hmv.com.hk is cheaper for new C-pop, and cdjapan is more cheaper with more bonuses when you several CDs at a time. (more than 3)

At the moment, I would have to say CDJapan. Their shipping packaging is top notch. I ordered just one CD in a regular jewel case last time, and they sent it in a box stuffed with buffering paper, the box is even bigger than the one Yesasia sent me 6 CDs in. Not to mention they're fast, things usually arrive in around 4 days, as Airmail should.

Like ~ayu cake~'s mentioned, people say they're expensive, but honestly, Yesasia jack up their prices for all items, and for particular items, the inflation is ridiculous. I ordered a CD from CDjapan once, and it was cheaper with airmail shipping paid, than it was from Yesasia not even counting shipping charges. When you buy about 3 CDs or more from cdjapan, they're usually already cheaper than Yesasia, plus you get points to spend the next time you shop, added with top notch shipping service. I don't think much for Yesasia's free gashapon gimmick, considering they jacked up the prices for those at least 3 times what it's worth anyway.

HMV.com.hk (opened several months ago) doesn't have a wide selection of Japanese music on their site, but when they happen to have an OS Version while it's new, it's worth ordering from them because they list it faster than Yesasia and their shipping is dirt cheap and fast like cdjapan. The packing is about the same standard as Yesasia's though, though their prices are kinda inflated too, new items tend to be cheaper.

Haven't tried play-asia and HMV.co.jp, but would like to know what people think of them. I heard HMV.co.jp has crazy shipping prices.

Edit: Just got my 2nd order from cdjapan, they're officially so fast it scares me. I can't believe it arrived in only 3 days sent as regular Air mail. o_O"

cdjapan -> you can ask for certified mail ands EMS and not so much more expensive in cost,

with yesasia, slow and some thing came broken! TT and expensive express service, not with national provider...

yes, i recommend cdjapan!

Heh. Yesasia's always super fast for me, but I do occasionally get a little crack on a jewel case, but I always switch cases or something...

...I really want to try CDJapan though. Even though they have no OS editions, I love how they usually tell you when first press is gone and what exactly is on the first press, IN ENGLISH. ><;

They also have a bigger selection, especially older CDs.

I order it, and it says i have to pay 39$ or more to get free shipping >< screwed up.

Oh my gosh! I just went there and realized how right you are! Look at my Christmas order and compare the two:

-Ai Otsuka: LOVE COOK CD+photobook
-Shiina Ringo Karuki Zamen...
-OLIVIA:Into the Stars (Out of Stock on Yesasia)

Yesasia (With Free Shipping): $74.73
CDJapan (With Express Shipping) : $78.71*!

*The CDJapan order is only $59 w/o shipping added, and extra money is required to ship the photobook, but it's only $4 more than Yesasia's price without shipping.

Depends. Yesasia's display is more user-friendly. Also the free shipping option is a huge plus. OS Versions is also really good when you want to buy something cheap.

Yet the firstpress noting on CDJapan most of the time gets me to buy from CDJapan as it takes ages from Yesasia to reply to your query.

I've never had a problem with yesasia.com, so I always go to them first for the lower prices.

However, I've heard great things about cdjapan if you're willing to shell out the money for originals and bonuses. I've gotten to the point where I'd rather wait for Book-Off to get secondhand goods.

You'd want to be especially careful of a seller based in China, they rarely sell originals. Although $10-15 for an overseas version album is totally reasonable, consdiering that's what they're sold for in Hong Kong/Taiwan where they're produced.

And about the "This item qualifies for FREE SHIPPING", yeah, it's just a scam that gets you to click on them only to find out the finer details later. Typical marketing technique.

BanFan-> it's cheaper to order "Seiteki Healing Vol.3" DVD from cdjapan too, even by itself.

I've never had a problem with YesAsia, and I've ordered several items from there.
The reason I didn't use CDJapan was because the shipping for an item I wanted would've been more than the item itself.

Ack. I was going to buy from CDJapan, but I'm not sure if I'll be buying a lot more. I think I'll have a lot more money to spend, and the frequent buyer stuff is nice since I'll be ordering 4-5 CDs/DVDs in January.

Ok, I'm sticking with CDJapan, since I'll have birthday and Christmas money to spend.

I like CDJapan... I've heard iffy things about YesAsia that people already mentioned but never had a problem with CDJapan. I often get coupons and such from them and cash in frequent shopper points.

I know shipping is a lot, but the stuff IS coming from Japan. I try to combine orders so that shipping $ is more worth it. On one of my last orders, I lumped Step YOU/Is this LOVE, fairyland cw/ Alterna and the MY STORY 2005 tour on DVD.

I think I'm going to lump the next single in with the album coming in January.. and a DVD if I can afford it. LOL

CDJapan because they have a good/large selection of 8cm singles. (Namely the brilliant green & Every Little Thing)...

CDJapan has a lot of stuff that's out of stock or out of print on Yesasia.

Maybe the YesAsia experience varies according to the warehouse they ship from?

I mainly use cdjapan and I have no complaints. I have also ordered a few things from hmv.co.jp and amazon.co.jp with no problem.

Actually the only time I ended up with cracked CD Cases was with CDJapan. They offered to change the item though.

Yesasia for Overseas Music. CD Japan for ANY Japanese items. I just recently bought a DVD for around $35 (First Press) and on Yesasia the DVD is $50, and it's not even first press!!
