So. I was in biology class today talking to the kid (reminds me of TA...) who sits beside me and somehow the discussion turned into Jpop. And Ayu was brought up. And he said Ayu rapped in quite a few of her songs.

Okay. Do you guys think Ayu raps in her songs? Which ones?

(Not including stuff from the NOTHING FROM NOTHING era)

Theres a difference between rapping and speaksinging quickly.... Rapping tends to be more rythmic. NOTHING from NOTHING is probably the closest to rapping Ayu has done.

I agree: besides NOTHING FROM NOTHING (the album) only Fly high and flower garden have rap in them.

of course she rapped. as some ppl said, in her NOTHING FROM NOTHING album. a good example of her purely rapping almost throughout is her song "PAPER DOLL". some other songs she rapped in after that album: FLY HIGH, LADIES NIGHT... *brainfart*... aaaah and a few others...

I can't imagine Ayumi rapping anymore. If I did, I'd think of her wearing a big gold chain and calling herself, "MC AYU!" XD

i dont refer to the parts in Fly high and Ladies Night *the fast part in the opening* to be rapping...as said above, there's a difference between rapping and singing something really fast. the only real rapping she's done is the stuff from 1995 and A feat. M.c.A.t.
