Well..Im not her fan but just came across the news...
not sure if it is posted here...
but its recent news

Former Morning Musume + Hello!Project artiste Maki Goto has left Up Front Agency (and uh yea, Hello!Project, haha!) for AVEX!! the Mega Mega label with artistes like Ayumi Hamasaki + Koda Kumi!


Also, she will be working with the Japanese producer AKIRA (who apparently worked with BoA before) and her new single “Necessary” will be released under the Avex sub-label “Rhythm Zone” on 7th May 2008.

GoMaki is primed for a sensational comeback after an 8-month hiatus! Newly signed on to the Avex Trax label, GoMaki is set to return to the stage when Avex celebrates its 20th anniversary, alongside superstars like Ayumi Hamasaki.

The concert will feature Ayumi Hamasaki as the leader of the pack, alongside other stars such as Koda Kumi and GoMaki.
Well at least things seem to be looking a little better for the Goto family.

Read that she has been in...where? L.A.? training her singing and dancing...

Don't think its fake...i first came across on "MyPaper" (a singapore paper...)
and So i went to find some info on the net...

the news was just released yesterday or so...so yea, more confirmation needed thou...

(actually the article caught my attention coz the title was "GOTO MAKI vs AYUMI HAMASAKI for top spot in Avex"....and duh, i was like NO WAY hahaha)

I would assume that the concert they mention is a reference to this year's a-nation, but it still hasn't been confirmed that Ayu will even be at a-nation. Suspicious.

but why Avex.. couldn't she go to some crap company...

I doubt these rumours are true...
There's already mistakes already....

1. Ayu ain't going to A-Nation this year..
2. Ayu nor Kuu will be at the stockholders concert either....
3. May 7th... DUDE its bloody June already...

To the original poster...did you not even see that this blog entry was originally made back in March of this year? Why post it now?

For now, it'll be tagged rumor, though it does seem fake. Maki was most recently training in LA (about a month or so ago) but there was no official mention of her joining any label.

She already went to USA to improve her singing/dancing skills.
She also has a single coming out.

We definitely know she went to the U.S. to improve dancing / singing but there hasn't been any news of a new single...I know...I've looked
