My boyfriend had me listen to this band that Im kind of addicted to. I asked him why they didn't put it on DDR haha. It reminds me very much of Smile.DK & Captain Jack from DDR. Anywho though.

Toy-Box is a Danish bubblegum dance group consisting of vocalists Anila Mirza and Amir El-Falaki. Anila was born 8 October 1974 in Hillerød, Denmark to a half Pakastani half Persian mother and an Indian father. Amir was born 12 August 1973 in Copenhagen, Denmark. They are most well known for their hit single Tarzan & Jane which was included on the album Fantastic. The group is also well known for its striking similarities to fellow Danish group Aqua. The similarities (which include the high-pitched female vocals and male backups and rapping and sudden appearance after Aqua's split) have led people to call Toy-Box Aqua's 'copycat.'

Toy-Box's first album, Fantastic, included the hits The Sailor Song, Best Friend, Super-Duper-Man, Teddy-Bear and Tarzan & Jane. It was released in September, 1999 and followed in 2001 by a second album, Toyride, which included fan-favourite songs Www.girl, Prince of Arabia and Wizard of Oz.


Misinterpretations
Toy-Box's song "Tarzan and Jane" is often mis-credited to Aqua, as is "Best Friend", due to the huge likenesses between the vocals of Anila and Lene Nystrøm Rasted, and Amir and René Dif. Toy-Box are occasionally mis-credited with the song "Butterfly" by Smile.dk largely due to distributions of the song on peer-to-peer networks and file-sharing programs being tagged as by the group.

Breakup
The group's break-up has not been officially announced. However, rumours have circulated that Amir is either working as a dance teacher or is planning a solo career. Anila has changed her name to Aneela and begun a solo career. When asked about another Toy-Box release, Aneela said, "I don't know, anything's possible."

2004 : Anila is currently working on her solo carreer and she changed her name to Aneela. Unfortunately, like many others, she turned to pop and RnB style. An album is currently being recorded. In February, a live concert was planned in Copenhagen.

2006 : Aneela already released 2 singles : Jaande and Chori Chori (a Bollywood-style song, with Arash, on a melody already used by Snow for his rap single Informer in the early 90s). She also released a feature with Rebecca called "Bombay Dreams."
